Like many of you I wonder how this deal effects a potential Peavy trade. As much as I like Marshall, I wouldn't hesitate one bit to include him in a deal for Peavy, now that Olsen is no longer a Cub. Without Marshall, the options for LHPs are sparse. I don't personally think that's a big deal, since we have a number of RHPs who can get lefties out effectively, but Hendry has had way too much of a fascination with handedness this offseason. On second thought and after reading many of your posts, I think if the Pads would be willing to take Heilman instead of Marshall, that by far would be a better trade for the Cubs.
