    Not sure whether or not this has been mentioned already but Dave Kaplan on Chicago Tribune Live last night, said that two of the top Orioles scouts (Bruce Kison) told him that they thought the deal between the Cubs and Baltimore would have been made a couple of weeks ago, only to find out that Peter Angelos didn't think the Orioles were getting enough in return, so he nixed the deal.

    jim belushi is hardly a comedian, you have to be somewhat funny for that and he isn't. jeff garlin on the other hand, he's funny and i think it would hilarious to watch him run. Agreed, Belushi is more of an actor but like his brother, I think he started at Second City and aspired to be a comedian. Anyway, he's a huge Cub fan. I don't think I'm familiar with Jeff Garlin though.

    As far as making the team and coming off the bench, who is his main competion? There's already a logjam, in terms of who he would have to leap frog over, isn't there? It would probably help his career if he were traded. Yeah, AAA.

    Rammy, you beat me to the punch. I was already to post this until I noticed you beat me to the punch. I think the Cubs should nfollow suit and sign Bill Murray to a minor league contact. Other than Murray and Tom Dressen, what other comedians are Cub fans? Isn't Jim Belushi also a Cub fan?

    I agree with everything that has been said thus far but IMB, the Cubs clearly have the best line-up in the NL Central. Milwaukee is a close second.

We certainly would have a more formible lineup if we were to add Roberts to the mix...or K.Greene.
