    What is? The fact that the clutch hitting has been terrible for over a week now. I don't really believe in clutch, but I believe in anti-clutch when a team is pressing and not handling the pressure well. It has? Love the exaggeration. Even if we were talking about clutch hitting, there were clutch hits last night, there was a clutch hit in the 2nd Philly game.. there was obviously clutch hitting in the first Philly game.... Perception >>> reality, I guess It's not any single thing. It's the extremely disturbing transition of our team from the best in the NL to the worst.

    Hoffpauir's bat is Todd Hundley slow. A Valverde-Hoffpauir AB would have been over very quickly.

    That makes two of us. I'm absolutely expecting a collapse now. Folks, this team is perfectly capable of going 4-20 and missing the playoffs altogether. It's not likely, though. Probably no more than a 20% chance.

    If Maddux pitches one more season, there's a pretty good chance that he'll pass Warren Spahn for the most wins by a pitcher in the post-WWII era. That would be highly nifty.

    I would like that. The backup job is Koyie's to lose next year. I think it's far more likely that Hank is back than Koyie Hill is the #2 catcher next season.
