Lewis is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so he's have to want to go to Milwaukee (or wherever) in a sign-and-trade for something like this to work.

The Bulls did dump Artest because he was crazy, but he was more potential than all star when they did.

With his temper and questionable work ethic, Randolf would be a much better fit on the Pacers. After he blows up on the court or gets in trouble with the law, you guys can trade him for forty cents on the dollar.

Meh. I don't think Green would've gone in the top 10, and I've never been sold on Hibbert. It shrinks the pool for everyone but, like I said, I think it's teams picking after the Bulls that'll be more adversely affected.

that would suck for the Bulls Why? I don't think either one is a good fit for the Bulls and both are likely to get selected after 9 in the draft. It sucks for teams in the teens, though. Less depth in the draft if it happens.

What makes you say that? Post scoring is his strength. One example scouting report: I must have read a completely different scouting report. What does that one have as his weaknesses? He's saying he needs to add strength to play in the post in the NBA, not surprising at all for a 19-year-old.

Lots of injuries for the Grizzlies this year. Team averaged 48 wins a season over the past three seasons before 06-07. They'll win a lot more games than 15 next year. No need for a fire sale at all.

Perhaps, but I don't think that'd be enough. Why would their price drop? Teams typically get more value in return in off-season trades then middle of the season ones.

The Grizzlies wanted Deng for him. Not sure why they'd change their minds and accept Gordon at this point. I also think there's a big gap between Amare and Pau. I honestly can't see the Suns letting him go.

I would give up Deng or Gordon for Stoudemire, maybe even both. He's a 24-year-old superstar. I'm wary of giving up too much to get Garnett, Gasol and especially O'Neal. I could live with trading Gordon for any of them, but it would take more than that to get the salaries to match up, and Gordon would need to agree to sign an extension to up his salary value. Shouldn't be an issue, unless he doesn't like where he's being traded and would rather be a free agent in two years.

$3M. Trading $11M for $13.34M is allowed, but it would hamstring the Bulls ability to keep both Deng and Gordon after the 07-08 season. That's an easy choice to make as far as who to keep, though. The easier choice for me is to not take on an overpaid basket-case like Randolf.

I doubt it at his price. He's making as much money as Gasol.

The Bulls can -- and will, most likely -- use most of that money to sign Nocioni. How does trading $7-8M get you $13.34M in return? The Bulls need to trade at least $10.76M to take back Randolf's contract. And taking on Randolf would make it very difficult for them to extend Deng and Gordon.

Boers and Bernstein said they could make Stoudamire work, so they could make Randolph work. They have the $8mil from PJ Brown plus their MLE to work with They could make Stoudemire work because they would be signing and trading Deng to get him -- probably throwing in Tyrus as well. What kind of package are you suggesting for Randolf? The $8M for PJ Brown is gone and you can't use the MLE like that. That is, you can't take $XM and add it to the MLE to sign a player.

He's at 8 on ESPN, and I bet we see Conley going to the Hawks at number 3 in Ford's first mock later this week, for whatever that's worth.
