Nope, not at all. That was about as obvious as they come in terms of offensive PI. But it makes up for the obvious catch, down, and then strip in the first quarter that they called an incomplete pass (the one where Ryan bootlegged left then threw down the middle of the field across his body for like 30 yards). The take over on downs has me breathing a bit easier.

Would we be considered the surprise team? We've been linked to Bedard already. Other NL teams Reds---already been linked Dodgers---already been linked Mets--haven't heard anything about them interested in Bedard, but we know theyre interested in Santana, so makes sense. Nationals?---would they deal with the "cross-town rival"? They'd like to make a run at it with the new stadium. Rockies? The rest of the NL either doesn't need another starter, isn't in a position to contend in the next couple years, or doesnt have the players that'd tempt the O's to be interested IMO. Like I said before, I think we could be. We've been half-assed linked to Bedard some this offseason, and we know Hendry has liked him for awhile. Orioles board thinks it might be Milwaukee, Colorado, or us. Man, Milwaukee already have 6 starters, so I didn't include them, but that could be a possibility if Baltimore is looking for young pitching in return. That would suck for us. Sheets, Bedard, Gallardo is a pretty awesome front 3. Assuming they pull off the trade without including Gallardo, of course. If they include Gallardo then its probably a loss for the Brewers.

On that replay they showed the reverse angle. I slow mo'd it about 15 times and couldn't tell if he touched it. I don't think he did, and have no clue to how they reversed the call to say he did. I don't like the call, but I hate the fact they were ever in the position to have the call to begin with so therefore I will not complain about it. They must have that super zoom in thing because honestly, I have a 51 inch tv and am watching this in HD and theres no way from either angle they showed that I could conclusively say that he touched the ball. I don't think the replay was conclusive either way, but if you'd make me chose, I would say he didn't touch it.

I don't see from the replay how they could have conclusive proof that he touched the ball, the rotation didn't look like it changed or anything, but you'd have to believe that guy would have been livid if he didn't touch the ball.

Looking at his last 2 years hes averaged about 30 or so points below average NL catcher OPS. Compare that to Theriot being 85 points below average NL SS OPS.
