  1. Man, that was within the lines...I don't know how that wasn't a penalty
  2. in hockey terms, the hawks play this period is what we call "going through the motions"
  3. extremely poor neutral zone play by the hawks leads to a good break away save by huet...luckily malkin's momentum had him moving away from the net
  4. He was supposed to be on the Versteeg/Buff line...was he not out there? There he is
  5. He was supposed to be on the Versteeg/Buff line...was he not out there?
  6. Jeez thats a bad bounce For a butterfly goalie, Huet has a lot of holes down low
  7. Ahhh Eddie, that was just a saucer pass that flew a little too much
  8. that was a nice save by Huet on Dupuy...Hawks got lazy in the D end of the PP
  9. Why is Barker on the PP, he stinks.
  10. Ohh gee, Huet gives up a big rebound and they score. Who would have thunk it? Yeah, thats also a big boo boo for the d-man, but geez. And nice break by Havlat...he really is one of the most talented and smartest offensive players in the league.
  11. This is going to be a physical game.
  12. Well each bomber is 2-3 glasses per bottle and the beers are twice as alcoholic as a normal beer, so it'll do the trick (especially since I haven't eaten dinner). And I just said 2 by the time the game starts :D
  13. interesting Not really. He obviously was using "tic-tacs" as a euphemism for something innocent. Its not that baseball players make bad analogies it that you guys are crazy.
  14. Wonder if this is merely just giving an excuse to keep Bulin out til the deadline? I mean I rewatched the game he hurt himself in and nothing traumatic happened and he stayed in the whole game? Hard to believe without getting run into or showing any signs of distress that he's been injured this long. Ehh, you may not see anything that will indicate a groin injury on a goalie and when he's warm and has mid-game adrenaline he might not feel it that bad. Unfortunately, ANY lingering groin pain is going to mean a goalie is going to have to sit out.
  15. You and me both... you gonna post at all during the game? Drunk kujay could be entertaining! I hope Huet's mother doesn't read this board. I find many times that I can't sit there with the laptop during the game. But if something really pisses me off, I'm sure I'll be here. +1 I'm going to have popped two bombers before the game starts and get to watch the whole thing with no interruptions (a rare occurrance)
  16. I don't disagree with you, although on certain nights it can definitely be impartial.
  17. 3rd in the NHL in GAA Yeah, it sure is nice when the opposing team misses empty nets. So his GAA is good because temas have been missing empty nets all season? Citing GAA as the end all be all is equivalent to citing ERA as the end all be all. no it's really not. and i'm not citing gaa as the end all. i'm saying it's funny how huet is so bad when he gives up so few goals you are right, its worse...in between W/L and ERA and its not funny, its fantastic

  19. 3rd in the NHL in GAA Yeah, it sure is nice when the opposing team misses empty nets. Although, I do have to save that last rebound wasn't his fault at all. Arnott just beat Campbell, plain and simple.
  20. As Pat said, "there should have been 2 or 3 sure goals for Nashville, but they've missed empty nets"...thats what happens when you have the slowest [expletive] goalie in the history of the world in net.
  21. this strategy is idiotic
  22. its all relative though...its just that james in aggregate has like an 850 ops or something insane like that
  23. The problem with you guys is that you think you are upping your odds by opening up a bunch of tabs. Thats one way, but if you really want to spread out your risk, have you and 4 or so friends get on an open up a bunch of tabs. As you've all seen, sometimes you get really lucky, sometimes you don't. Between me and my friends we got everything we all wanted: 4/13 vs Rockies 6/16 vs Sox 6/21 vs Indians 7/3 vs Brewers 7/11 vs Cards 8/11 vs Phils 8/29 vs Mets 9/14 vs Brewers And the best part is none of them were bleachers. I don't mind sitting there, but having to get there 2 hours before is just so annoying.
  24. Damn man thats crazy, I only had 20 tabs open. This will be my first time ever sitting in the bleachers, Im pumped. Also secondary market for tickets right now is ridiculous. Hope you plan on getting really drunk in the bleachers. Otherwise, it's going to be extremely annoying for you. I can't stand sitting in the bleachers anymore. It's just one big frat party with people who know nothing about the Cubs or baseball in general. Yea Ill probably be pretty drunk, but I just couldnt pass up 50 bucks for a bleacher ticket since most weekend bleachers are around 90-100 on the secondary market. Should be fun out there Ehh, I've never paid more than $75 for a Saturday bleacher game. If you can find some suckers that want to buy for $100, do it.
  25. wtf, I'm having issues with firefox... when i open up a new tab it wont let me type in the url...little help Jon? I went to history and picked the vwr and that allowed me to put the url in multiple tabs
