  1. I think the Cobs could be that close, but Huff probably isn't one of those players.
  2. Care to elaborate? You can't trust young people, dude. It's like going fishing for striped bass with your girlfriend.
  3. oh good point man, sometimes i wonder about these peopeL!
  4. He definitely avoided making a bad move. I'm not sure that's the same as making a good move, though.
  5. I was actually going to write "nipples", but I thought that might be crossing the line.
  6. Has Hendry rubbed barbeque sauce on his chest again?
  7. Len: Psych! Ahahahaha! I totally had you guys! Modzilla: B&
  8. I'm actually happy about this. Hopefully the Louisiana Lumberjack stays and Ronny starts at short.
  9. OH NOES!!! HOW COULD LEN HAVE BEN WRONG?!?!?!
  10. If it were me, I would just stick one in right, but I don't think Hendry would.
  11. I'm not even sure the Yankees are all that seriously interested in him. Aren't they supposed to be going after a true CFer this offseason?
  12. I would be, especially since the Cobs could have afforded both Dunn/Abreu and Giles if Hendry hadn't signed just one of Eyre or Howry.
  13. Mabry is a very significant upgrade from Macias, no question. He's not a good hitter by any standard, but he's a better hitter than Macias. His eqa was .244 last year, but Macias' was a stunning .210.
  14. I don't unfortunately, and I'm not at all familiar with php, either.
  15. You would need to install a mod to do it, but there's no reason it can't be done.
  16. Those players were obviously ruined by the bad chemistry of the 2004 team.
  17. Well the thing is -- and this is the tricky part, mind you -- he actually isn't.
  18. The numbers are correlation and root mean square error against runs scored. That seems pretty marginal to me. On-base plus slugging .922 25.54 Equivalent Average .928 24.13 BaseRuns .930 24.38 eXtrapolated Runs (per PA) .920 24.83 Runs Created (per PA) .928 24.96 Total Average .926 25.33
  19. Great, but let's remember that being fun to watch and being effective are too different things.
  20. As bad as you make it out, OPS correlates pretty well with runscoring. I don't really think you can go wrong with it. The more advanced stats might give you a clearer picture, but they probably won't ever tell you anything dramatically different.
  21. Grudz is an average fielder. His Rate in 2005 was exactly 100.
