  1. Everyone on the board provides these; it's a board tradition.
  2. Technically, this doesn't mean they didn't tamper, it just means that MLB had no evidence of it. /kyle
  3. That strikes me as very unlikely. The NL DH is tantamount to the end of pitchers distinguishing themselves with the bat. That's not much of a loss. It's not surprising that you think so, but I think it contributed a lot to making Zambrano fun as a player.
  4. That strikes me as very unlikely. The NL DH is tantamount to the end of pitchers distinguishing themselves with the bat.
  5. I prefer no DH, although I don't feel strongly about it. There's the sliver of strategy, the insignificant purity of the players on the field batting, and the genuine intrigue of the better-hitting pitchers distinguishing themselves with the bat. However, I would gladly give that up for uniformity across leagues.
  6. You post in every thread here, you didn't see this before? There's no way he has time to read the threads and maintain that kind of posting schedule.
  7. I initially read the subject as "1900" uniforms, and that's a lot more appealing to me.
  8. Doesn't count because it was leake.
  9. Dexter Fowler is a [expletive] bawse.
  10. This Cubs victory brought to you by SPAM.
  11. Well, I'm glad they didn't disappoint you.
  12. I think I'd prefer the plate full of jelly It's not a bachelor meal, I promise. The lady ate some fried spam slices herself, along with some rice she cooked.
  13. Tonight I fried some spam slices, and then fried an egg so the yoke was still runny. I ate a spam and egg sandwich for dinner with some horseradish sauce on it. Delicious. This will help the Cubs achieve victory, I am sure.
  14. At least Mike Olt has seen a lot of pitches.
  15. hopefully from this mortal coil I like the way you think.
  16. Wainwright bitching about a call is pretty rich.
  17. Hopefully this umpire is tortured to death later tonight.
  18. Did you know that ESPN games are blacked out nationally on MLB.TV? It makes perfect sense that they are, but I haven't had a subscription in so long I forgot. Oh well, time to revert to piracy.
  19. In 2021 this will all be water under the bridge. He will hopefully have two or three WS rings and love Chicago, but yes his contract will be very high but I don't think this will play any part of if he resigns with the Cubs or goes to the Yankees. You could be right, but some people dont forget, at the very least Boras wont forget. Boras is a businessman first and foremost. The dude won't cut off his nose to spite his face, but he was never going to do the Cubs any favors with the contract negotiations either.
  20. I rarely pay attention to him. Is Olbermann even a Cubs fan or does he simply think Wrigley should be maintained as an unblemished shrine to the detriment of the Cubs?
  21. I like the Castro guess. I think Olt and Baez are too far-fetched.
  22. It's not. Four corners doctrine and all that jazz.
  23. Even those under the impression that there's a 1982 action classic entitled "Rambo" know better than that. Ha. I was 10 when The New Hope came out and I don't remember anyone calling it that. No one did. It was just released as Star Wars back then.
