Well, that depends. If the Bears come out and dominate like I'm predicting they will, it wont matter if gale sayers was supposed to be starting at HB. I have da bears holding seattle to 2 TD's or less and winning by 20 -
Honestly, I wish murton could play 2B. His bat is perfect for the position, and would be one of the best in the league. At the corner OF spot though hes just above average.

The HS class may be better and it is certainly deeper, but as of right now the top three players in the draft have to be college guys, IMO. My top 10 would be something like: 1. Price 2. Brackman 3. Wieters 4. Harvey* 5. Main* 6. Beavan* 7. Jackson* 8. Burgess* 9. Arencibia 10. Schmidt Dont take them too seriously, but stars are HS. With the addition of any one of those 3, the cubs farm system might have a few bonafied bluechip prospects in the making in Pawelek, Veal, and our 2007 draftee. Certainly will elevate us up in the BA ranks. By the time BA ranks the Cubs 07 draftee as part of their system, if Veal is a blue chipper, he should have graduated to the big leagues. It is possible to Veal to play at bluechip status from here on out and only reach the big club in late 2009. He just turned 22 a few days ago.

to me it goes like this The earliest he could have possibly started using was mid to late 2000. That year he had a .688 the highest of his career to that point, and had a .730+ SLG after the all star break in 00'. From 2000-2004 He used on and off (unknowingly or knowingly i won't get into). After his injuries and the Balco Investigations, he was off them completely, he hasn't used since. Barry Bonds is one of the most if not the most patient hitters of all time, whether or not you think the steroids inflated his power numbers dramatically, he deserves recognition based on that fact alone. 232 walks (.609 OBP) in one season. That's insane. Before he was "using", based on how he would have fared in his roid years, he would have still made enough of an impact to be considered for the hall. I'd place him at about 450-550 HR's. i guess we will never no though.

I think the fact that the NL is so weak this year makes the team look alot bettter than they are, but the fact that they are as a team making less than 8 or so players in the MLB is a real testement to how well run the farm system and ML club are. Joe Girardi should be a good manager for years to come.

Seriously, I am so frustrated with this team it makes it difficult to even watch baseball at all because of how PO'ed i am. It seems like it's blatantly obvious to everyone outside the front office that changes need to be made, and the philosphy needs shifting, but even after 98 years of futility, we STILL make excuses. Honestly this might be the worst run team I've ever seen in sports history, its definately up there with the 90's clippers. Blow this team up, please.

do you think San Diego is going to take the take the division away from the broncos with a "rookie" QB? I honestly dont see it happening no matter how good Rivers supposedly is, he will have to pull a roethlisberger type season to win his team the division. One injury to LT could have this team spiraling into the abyss.

I think if Z can win 3 or 4 more starts, and pitch pretty well and get his ERA to near or below that 3.00 mark he has a great shot and winning this thing. Its neck and neck between him carpenter and webb for what voters will vote right now.

Wagner has almost as many blown saves as our own ryan dempster, and is not having an eric gagne 2003 type year by any means. No way is he even top 5.
