  1. Because hes an Al Davis guy ;) by the way, i have to hate you somewhat, becasue of your raiderism, seeing as im bronco faithful, you know how it is. Fair enough. Well, to be perfectly honest, I would have had a problem with both of y'all. Being a Seahawk fan that is. However, as we all know all those great games between the Raiders, Broncos and the Seahawks are at an end. For the better? Probably, but I'll always remember some of those games. For example, soccer10k, do you remember the game when Bo Jackson went right through Brian Bosworth? Lord I hated that draft pick. I'll never know why the Seahawks picked him. Now, back to your regular scheduled programming. haha, funny you should mention that, i made a "the dugout" ripoff that mentions that, but i probably wont show it to anyone here in fear of getting flamed.
  2. but shouldnt that give even more credibility for Z? The fact that he has an 11-3 record alone should wow alot of voters.

  4. Do you think Z has a chance to win the Cy Young? Here's a look at the top 10 canidates other than Zambrano: Tom Glavine - 11-4, 3.69 ERA, 88 SO Aaron Harang - 11-6, 3.52 ERA, 135 SO Brandon Webb - 11-3, 2.51, 117 SO Chris Capuano - 10-5, 3.49 ERA, 117 SO Chris Carpenter - 10-4, 2.68 ERA, 114 SO Brad Penny - 10-4, 3.28, 89 SO Bronson Arroyo - 2.92 ERA, 111 SO Pedro Martinez - 7-4, 3.45 ERA, 111 SO Trevor Hoffman - 27 Saves, 2.09 ERA, 6.75 K/9 Jason Isringhausen - 28 Saves, 3.02 ERA. 8.87 K/9 and Zambrano - 11-3, 3.27 ERA, 147 SO He is tied for the NL Lead in Win PCT %, with the cubs no less which would actually mean hes been more impressive than Brandon Webb, He leads the league in K's, by a decent margin, and is 6th in the NL in ERA. If Z were to go on a crazy run from here on out and win most of his starts (he's projected to have 10-12 more), and pitch phenomenly in all of them, he has a shot at the Pitching triple crown.
  5. I just got proposed Daunte Culpepper and a 2007 5th round pick (its a keeper league) for my Donovan Mcnabb. Do you think Culpepper's sesason will exceed Donovan's?
  6. has there been any mention of him as a possible canidate for the managerial position next year? I'd even love to have him as a pitching coach, just having him on the staff at all would improve the team tremendously. Vance, does it say anything about his influence on GM Decisions?
  7. blegh, i hate U2 even more than i hate def leppoard so..
  8. this is slightly off topic but have you ever wondered if they should make a Walk the Line type movie about Hendrix. I was dreaming about it recently, and now i can't stop thinking about it. Yeah i know im lame.
  9. QFT sad to see that RHCP had to compete with the eventual winner of this tournament, I think they could have made it to the final four. In a week im going to gauge entries for a different contest, if you dont mind. I wont start it until the 2nd to last round of your tourney tho. Cheers M8.
  10. 1. Bench 2. Berra 3. Fisk 4. Dickey 5. Munson 6. Piazza 7. I-rod 8. Ewing 9. Campanella 10. Cochrane
  11. Californication and Blood Sex Sugar Magik are 2 of the greatest albums in the last 25 years. Stadium Arcadium looks to join in that as well very soon.
  12. im suprised you don't like tool yet you love Lightning bolt man LB and Tool to me are the heaviest bands on earth.
  13. I just read this in SI today I hope that as more and more writers recognize that OBP is as huge a stat as the triple crown stats, that Hendry and the Cubs brass will recognize it as well.
  14., holy... edit: just found this kid's band, although hes 11 years older http://www.lazyeyemusic.com

  16. With all due respect, that award goes to Meg White. no, she is barely breathing Zing!nice :D
  17. You clearly miss the point of the White Stripes To play poorly and make millions? I'd like to see any 6 month vet of the guitar play Ball and a Biscuit. Jack White's minimilistic style is just ironic because he's actually a fantastic Blues and Rock guitarist.
  18. i didnt like Billy's solo stuff as much as his early SP work oh and they should start touring around Novermber from what i hear.
  19. Then as a drummer, I suggest you go listen to some tool right now. I HATE Maynard or whatever the singers name is. Their video imagery is tired too. That said, Danny Carey is on a whole other level. Thanks for the advice, but as I've said, I've listened to Tool, not a ton, but some. In my opinion, as a drummer, he's not the best drummer alive. . Well...if THIS gentleman was still alive, there'd be no contest as to who was the greatest drummer alive. He was like the Clapton or Hendrix of drums. He did more to advance and influence rock drumming than anyone who ever played, in my opinion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AHYnrcjMx4 Edit: looking back at this post, i feel like a jerk, i think i was in a bad mood at the time excuse me.
  20. what didn't you like about Californication, i can understand BTW since it turned off alot of people, but Californication was one of their better albums in my mind.
  21. i loved dookie, and i loved ten but i loved ten more. so PJ it is.
  22. if you haven't listened to Mellon Collie and the infinate sadness i suggest it to all, its a great double album. oh and, billy corgan ftw.
  23. i like tool, but RHCP blows them out of the water, completely They're music catalog is so diverse its crazy, their early stuff is great in that parliament machofunk type way, then theres blood sugar sex magik, one of the greatest albums of the early 90's, then there new stuff which ranges from hard rock, to melodic rock, to psychadelic stuff, and even now they have some funk tracks. Seriously, i have a nonstop, unhealthy addiction to these guys.
  24. this is great to hear as i always thought Dusty was a good guy as evidenced by how many people refer to him as a player manager. All the best, hope you beat your illness.
  25. i don't know why, maybe the time of the night, or the fact that i'm feeling happy vibes fromt his thread, but that comment had me laughing for a good 10 minutes.
