    You clearly miss the point of the White Stripes To play poorly and make millions? I'd like to see any 6 month vet of the guitar play Ball and a Biscuit. Jack White's minimilistic style is just ironic because he's actually a fantastic Blues and Rock guitarist.

    Then as a drummer, I suggest you go listen to some tool right now. I HATE Maynard or whatever the singers name is. Their video imagery is tired too. That said, Danny Carey is on a whole other level. Thanks for the advice, but as I've said, I've listened to Tool, not a ton, but some. In my opinion, as a drummer, he's not the best drummer alive. . Well...if THIS gentleman was still alive, there'd be no contest as to who was the greatest drummer alive. He was like the Clapton or Hendrix of drums.     what didn't you like about Californication, i can understand BTW since it turned off alot of people, but Californication was one of their better albums in my mind.

    if you haven't listened to Mellon Collie and the infinate sadness i suggest it to all, its a great double album. oh and, billy corgan ftw.

    i like tool, but RHCP blows them out of the water, completely They're music catalog is so diverse its crazy, their early stuff is great in that parliament machofunk type way, then theres blood sugar sex magik, one of the greatest albums of the early 90's, then there new stuff which ranges from hard rock, to melodic rock, to psychadelic stuff, and even now they have some funk tracks. Seriously, i have a nonstop, unhealthy addiction to these guys.

    the clash? Overrated? Gimme a break. If you've actually listened to more than 2 of their songs than you might have the right to say that, but thats clearly not the case since you wouldnt be saying that if you had heard most of the London Calling LP. Seriously, one of the best albums, ever.

    U2 is one of my most hated bands i honesty tried to like them but i couldnt bono makes me want to hurt things. and yes is great.

    I wouldn't say that his headbutt invalidates their WC victory in '98 or their Euro Cup victory in '00. It was stupid, and hurt them in this game. That's all. But it will be tarnished, heavily, Zidane will be remembered for having the most antiheroic end to a career in the history of sports. His accomplishments will never outweight this. And to think i use to love the guy 8 years ago. I still love the guy. He made a stupid mistake, but I have no doubt that the Italian player said something totally out-of-line to make Zidane lose his mind and do something something so out of character. I'm guessing it had to do with him being Algerian , Italians notoriously are racist against muslims. Heck, here at home, i had a room full of Israeli Jews who would bet their lives on that.

    I actually know a Packer fan who would be willing to take that bet, quite easily. Somehow a broken down Charles Woodson who never learned technique and some rookie LBs means division champs.     Not for me. To me, he's on the same boat as Emmitt. Great offensive line helped him a ton. Great QB took a ton of pressure off. And he's a step down talent-wise from Emmitt. He's in the Franco Harris boat for me. Bottom of the 3rd tier. However, given that if he was playing his last season right now, he'd project in the top 5 in all time yards, which would land him in this thread wouldnt it?

    this thread pains me because i know if terrell davis had not had that injury we would be talking about him in the same breath as these guys. oh well.
