    Well, I am getting my Cubs tattoo today, so I hope that signals a turn around. It definitely signals that I am a glutton for punishment; I am in Cardinal country getting a Cubs tattoo during a BAD losing streak.

    After seeing the official lineup, I shook my head, sighed, shrugged, killed my beer and made a walk to the fridge that I feel I will be doing much more during this game.

    Prior does the same damn thing. I think it is pretty obvious that Rothschild's philosophies focus on getting hitters out on pitches outside of the zone. ridiculous approach when the entire staff is full of 'stuff' pitchers. throw it over the middle of the plate and let the natural movement of the pitch get it off of the sweet spot of the bat. Unless your Rusch and you have no movement. Stright as a finger quotes LASER finger quotes

    Dusty's reasons (per comcast) -Walker is tired, his "slump" is in his head and that has gotten to his body -Doesn't want to take a chance with JJ's groin on wet surface -Cedeno is used to batting 3rd, did in Winter Ball and most of his career -Neifi has hit Woody well ugggghhhh

    Allow me to finish your thought... Not to protect Dusty's decisions, but the only thing I can come up with is speed against Piazza...maybe... a couple of people manage to get on and steal 2nd only to be stranded because they'll never think of trying to steal 3rd and it's virtually impossible to get more than 1 hit per inning. Can't argue with you...I was just brainstorming though

    I suspect that Jones is sitting today because of his groin. Either it's bothering him, or Dusty is just being a little cautious due to the rain. Or the crowd. If he is used right, I would probably be a big fan. That said, lets straighten that statement out: He is third best stat wise at this point, I would be careful saying he is our third best hitter.

    I all fairness, minus the 0-5 with 4 k game, Jones has been one of our more consistent and better hitters during this slump. And I know, we have been facing righties, and yes, I am in favor of a strict platoon also; but seeing as how that is not happening, I pat him on the back for starting to step it up.

Well I am from North Mexico, or as some call it South Texas, so I take the Cinso de Mayo wishes and send them right back out. Hopefully the Cubs will celebrate it too so close to the border.     WCIU :x I have to pretend TO watch this game. I justified paying for the Extra Innings to my wife by saying that "I will get all the Cubs games not on WGN and other important games." She fired back with: "You won't watch any other teams unless the Cubs are playing them." And I said: "You're right, but thats a lot of Cubs games to watch." So now I have to watch even though I don't want to, but at least she is in bed by 10:00, so I can just pretend to watch the second half. :?
