Exactly. Macias isn't bad at all as a 25th man. It's Dusty's complete lack of intelligence when it comes to using Macias that's the problem. Macias isn't a bad 12th man. Considering the Cubs use twelve pitchers (ugh) I would put Hollandsworth (less-as some of you say) at least lower than Macias due to versatility. Not great defensively, but ok all-around. Anyway, I sit here all the time and rag Macias, but as we all know, the problem isn't Macias, he is a good (dare I say great) bench player. The problem with Macias is, as we all know, Baker's mis-use of him. I, for one, will not fault him for Dusty's ignorance. I like Macias. I like him on our team.
