  1. Rian has a Cub mobile that plays "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and she dances (bounces/sways) when it comes on. Not Cub related, but my 7yr old got in trouble in class for singing "Ring of Fire." I told the teacher to call me if she started singing bad music.
  2. Thanks guys. My 7 year old Cub fan says I am brainwashing her to be smart. This from the first grader who broke up with her "boyfriend" because he wore a Cards shirt to class. My proudest moment as a father.
  3. My daughter Rian Grace,9 months, ready for her first full season. http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g111/gerby23/RianCub3.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g111/gerby23/RianCub2.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g111/gerby23/RianCub1.jpg
  4. I have DISH and can't find the game. What channel?
  5. They are doing a "Next Year is Here" special at 12:30, game time is at 1:10. nothing like jinxing it. Like every Cub's announcer ever hasn't tried their hardest every game, every situation. They kill me.

  7. XM 185 if someone wants to add it to title thread
  8. Or really screw with people and have vendors switch cups that are 1 oz smaller every inning.
  9. It depends on the type of dancing your wife dose. She could have made a lot more money than you  No not that kind. The kind where 3 or 4 30+ year olds get in a group on the middle of the floor and dance together to make the men stare...hey wait a minute! :o But hey she makes the money in our family so she can spend it how she chooses.
  10. Still cheaper than "clubs" in Las Vegas according to my wife. Something like 10 or 12 bucks for an import. I drank for premium beer/liquor for free at the tables while she danced and spent the money I was winning. ---Thinking you are up a couple hundred only to find you broke even with wife's dancing and drinking = priceless.
  11. Holding out is fine, holding your breath--not recommended.
  12. you can go to dicks and get those for 40 bucks i loathe white shoes though. You can get staight white Cubs Reebok shoes at Dick's? Good to know. Still not ordering but good to know
  13. If you don't go overboard with colors (traditional white with C or something) they aren't too bad. Beyond that, yes, most like a much younger crowd than I is the target audience.
  14. What kills me is that I had DirectTV for 4 years. I asked for an HD box and DVR equipment, they told me I would have to pay an outrageous amount. So I switched to DISH who gave me all of that with the switch. Problem for me know is that I have DISH for two years and no EI. I'll be back in the golden era of baseball--listening on the radio. Except I don't think they had XM in the 40s, but anyway. When my contract is up, I will go back to DirectTV if they are the sole providers, Live and learn.
  15. Wow, didn't realize that Barrett's numbers vs. Maddux were so good. Lets go Cubs!
  16. It could all be mental as well. As someone who has comeback from major knee issues, I can honestly say that even after I was "cleared" I didn't want to push it when running. He may just have had some jitters mentally that prevented him from letting it all hang out.
  17. No one beats Wood in that department. Sorry, I am 28, but that made me laugh. Guess I am really tired and/or needing a laugh.
  18. Ok, time for me to get roasted, but I am a Colts fan *ducks* and I am excited about the Super Bowl as well--but for me, nothing compares to baseball. I love March Madness, but I would rather pay attention to how the rotation falls into place, or who is surprising, or pro/regressing, or trade rumors. Bring on Pitchers and Catchers Day please!
  19. He was signed to start a month ago. If we pick up a better option, what can he really do? And Theriot could then pursue that CF job they want him to, or be packaged with several others for a quality starter. In any case, DeRosa doesn't have a whole lot of say at this point b/c he already signed; therefore not much bargaining power. he would just have to win the job outright in ST.
  20. That doesn't sound like someone that's going to trade Izturis to me. Why tip his hand? If anything it can be construed as talking up Izzy for a potential trade. Right, GM's don't say "We really want to trade this guy because he sucks and we hate him." Well...our GM does. Or has been known to. Lets hope he has lived and learned from that. don't remind me Sorry.

  22. I haven't read through it all yet, but does this play out as far as Cedeno, Theriot and Izzy are concerned? Obviously it makes one or two of them expendable, but does it hurt or help Hendry's chances of moving them?
  23. at this point, if bonds can take us to the playoffs, he can burn an american flag while doing it for all i care. No. I don't want to get off topic, but thats way wrong. It was just a bit of obvious hyperbole. Possibly, but I feel--and maybe I am sensitive--but if we can't swear on here, and have to delete other offensive things, then this also should go. Its more offensive to me than any "swear word." Again, I don't want to hijack, I just had to put in my two cents about that comment.
