It depends on who they would hire as well. At this point, he's a good enough coach to remain at UK, just not a good enough recruiter. He had the great class a couple of years ago (Morris, Crawford, Rondo) but if you do go the McD's route you have to do that every year as it becomes a 2 year title run. At this point, I'm all for a change. yeah, you can't surround that class with the likes of sheray thomas and bobby perry. if tubby is not fired and he somehow gets both recruits, i could see them going from a mediocre team to a very good one next year. not elite, but i think they could do well.

if tubby is fired, what little chance UK has of getting jai lucas and patrick patterson will be dead. morris could leave. if that happened, UK would not make the tournament next year. you could argue that they shouldn't be in this year, but oh well. this is a good indicator in regards to the state of the program: W-L vs top 50 teams since 2003 2003: 14-2 2004: 14-4 2005: 6-4 2006: 3-8 2007: 5-9

i'm really not liking the fact that tubby smith recruited sheray "chris webber" thomas and put him in that situation. this is the worst senior class that i can remember at UK.

agreed. During the DePaul / Nova game, a Nova guy took 2 steps, then did a hop step, then jumped off of one foot for the layup. traveling is also called when it didn't happen (see Nova vs UNC in 2005)

in most leagues, shawn marion and dirk are better fantasy players than lebron.

blah. i don't usually complain about calls, but there were some awful calls in that game. i'm not sure it mattered, but it's still lame. i think florida will lose in the second round this year.

If Shard is healthy, he is as good of a fantasy player as LeBron. I loved that deal, because I thought it really weakened Pistulls' great depth. While I agree that Shard is probably equal to LeBron when he's healthy, at the time of the trade, there was a Q as to how long Shard would be out and no guarantee about how good he would be when he got back. Might end up regretting that part, but if this league really continues next year and beyond, I don't think I'll regret acquiring LeBron (unless Shard is actually entering his prime and not just playing extra hard b/c it's his walk year). As for depth - meh. This is a relatively shallow league with only 8 guys. After that trade, added David West, who is likely to average about 20/9 with about 1 steal and 1 block per game with good %s for a PF. He's not DHow, but he shouldn't be sitting on the waiver wire either. i was going to go add david west the day you added him =/

however, you do need those statistics to determine if player x had a better year than player y when their avg/obp/slg are close (i.e. Lee and Pujols in 2005). i'm into most of the batting metrics, but i haven't taken the time to understand a few of the newer pitching metrics.

i was watching when this happened. he looked like he was in extreme pain. he was sobbing on the bench before they wheeled him out.

Wow, LSU was up that much and they're playing without Davis? kentucky is horrible. for some reason, tubby likes to sub in orbzut for morris when morris only has one foul.

ESPN Classic just showed the 1992 Elite Eight game with UK vs. Duke :( i watched it up until the point where Duke was getting ready to inbound the ball. then i turned it off.

:( UK missed so many open three pointers. they played better than i expected, but Florida played worse than i thought they would. UK got lucky to have horford and noah in foul trouble, but couldn't capitalize.

Patterson's projected VORP would put him at #3 among 2b in the NL.

i really think Lee will perform closer to his 75th projected procentile. PECOTA's inability to differentiate between injuries makes Lee have about 66% of the normal PAs for a year.
