  1. What a [expletive] coward. He really is. The [expletive] about wanting to be the best ever, won't never happen. This [expletive] about comparing James to Jordan stops NOW. Seriously - he just made sure Jordan will always be regarded as the best ever.
  2. Miami had better hope that no one (especially in the frontcourt) gets injured.
  3. Did he give a reason for that opinion?
  4. Forget Reddick if you are saving $ to get Richardson. I'm not interested in him. I dunno, I think he fills the Steve Kerr role on the team pretty nicely. And Richardson is somewhat Harper-esque. Of course, we are missing the other piece of that historic three-guard rotation...
  5. They'd probably be even cheaper, though Miller seems to be in high demand. He can still shoot the lights out.
  6. Here's another thought - could we pry Iguodala away from Philly?
  7. Doesn't look like we are getting LeBron, so to me Reddick is the play here. He'll come much cheaper than Allen. By saving some cap space we can try to sign Jason Richardson next year when he hits the mkt.
  8. Lee is better than Boozer, especially over the longterm. I'm still hopeful LeBron will sign here, but if he doesn't, I'd grab Lee and Reddick and save money under the cap to make a run at someone else in 2011 or 2012.
  9. Ha! Bulls do a sign and trade with Miami: Deng goes to Mia, Beasley and Wade come to chicago. The diff between Deng's salary and Beasley's is enough to free cap space for a second max FA and LeBron signs. Rose Wade LeBron Beasley Noah And we even get to keep Gibson and Johnson as bench guys! :D Nice, but I'd start Gibson over Derrick Coleman II. :)
  10. Maybe it isn't real, but he and Wade have been arrogant pricks since this kicked off, in my estimation. In what way? I mean...tweeting too much? Other than that, what have they done? Those "people" in the Miami organization are going to get overridden...Miami won't pass on Bosh if they can get him. And "those people" are probably saying that to scare off other suitors.

Those "people" in the Miami organization are going to get overridden...Miami won't pass on Bosh if they can get him. Go back in this thread a ways to find the stuff Wade said about recruiting players who fit with him. And yes, Bosh's constant tweeting rubs me the wrong way. LeBron doesn't seem to feel the need to do that, nor does anyone else in fact...except Wade.

  13. I could see him leaving if they don't get Bosh or Lebron. They'll get Amare if that happens. Plus I bet they will try and trade for Chris Paul or Tony Parker. Moreover, let's assume Bosh goes to NY or Chicago and James goes to Chicago. Where is Wade going to go? The Knicks are the only team that could afford him and one other max player, but why would he go there if Bosh or someone like him isn't there? The only way it makes sense for Wade to leave Miami is if LeBron stays in Cleveland and Bosh signs with the Bulls or Knicks. He could then join Bosh in NY (or go to Chicago to play with Rose, Noah and likely Lee or Boozer) or join Bosh in Chicago.
  14. I didn't see this here: KC Johnson tweeted that Wade was at the UC today for a meeting with the Bulls. I'm sure he's just screwing with Miami. No one seriously believes he's leaving. Bosh himself tweeted that he met with the Bulls today.
  15. Boozer's a horrific defender too. Lee's gotta be getting a boost from how awful the Knicks are though, doesn't he? I guess? Probably, but I think the point is that he brings more value than Boozer does regardless of how the team is shaped and what his role is. In other words, Boozer needs to be a focal point to bring value, Lee does not.
  16. I had been pining for a James-Boozer pairing, but the more I look at it the more I think David Lee is a better option than Boozer (assuming that the pie-in-the-sky scenario of James and Bosh doesn't happen). Lee's PER (22.28) was 14th best in the NBA last season, Boozer's (21.42) was 17th, so that's not a huge difference. However, Lee's VA score (Value Added) and EWA (Estimated Wins Added) were 526.4 and 17.5 respectively, good for 5th in all of the NBA and behind only James, Durant, Wade and Howard. Boozer's VA was 395.6 and his EWA was 13.2, which was 18th in the league. Lee is 27 and has been pretty healthy, with a gradual increase in his MPG over each of his 5 years. Boozer will be 29 in October, has been injured several times (he played only 84 games during his first two seasons in Utah, and only 33 two seasons ago), and has 8 years in the league during which he has played major minutes each of his seasons. Lee is a better value, IMO. BTW, Lee's PER is 3 points less than Bosh, but his VA and EWA are each significantly higher.

  18. That contract reminds me of Soriano's.
  19. I dunno if anyone is really going to want the Knicks money. They look really, really bad compared to the other teams with cap space (even the Nets).
  20. It would be so sweet if Miami got shutout somehow. Won't happen, but it would be sweet. Actually if they ended up only with Amare and kept Beasley, that would be enough for me. Basically any big with half an offensive game would go off on them 82 games in a row.

  23. In my mind he's behind Howard (alone on the 1st tier) and Bogat (alone on the second tier), but on the third tier with Lopez and Horford.
  24. and 2 other people are saying he's going to miami. and 2 other people are saying he's going to chciago. and 2 other people say he's going to nj. and 2 other people are saying he's going to japan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEmJ-VWPDM4
  25. Is this a joke? Will he even get half that? Wow, great move for the Spurs. They must have pics of him naked ,playing golf with Satan.
