  1. I had a pile of Leon Durham cards and a pile of Ron Cey (Dodgers). Collected all of the 84' Cubs, including the prized Davey Lopes "Now with Cubs" card.
  2. Deng probably has to go to make it work, unless you are willing to send Noah, which I am not.
  3. I want nothing to do with Pierce or Garnett, personally. Why? Because I'm not convinced that Rose comes back at 100% this year, so that still doesn't put us in a position to win this season. If you're not gunning for it all this year, it's better to save the assets and get younger players when the time is right. Plus, as a bonus to the logic of the whole thing, Garnett is a raging anus and Pierce is a drama queen. Ok, but Pierce can still score in bunches and is inked at 16 mill a year through next year. You aren't committed to him for very long. Plus his walk year is the same as Hinrich's, which means you clear considerable cap space when there will be many desireable FA SG's and SF's, including LeBron and Carmelo.
  4. I love that title - "Quality Control". Sounds like he does hair for a living.
  5. Probably have to give the Broncos a few high draft picks to sign him. Agreed - they'd be nuts not to tag him.
  6. I'd probably give Clady 45 mill guaranteed.
  7. Deng, Hamilton, and a No.1 for Pierce and Barbosa? Nah, C's never do it, but its a nice fantasy.
  8. Was at the game tonight. They were noticebaly slower in the 3rd Period. I think all the games played with little rest and the PP's they killed off during the first two periods took their toll. That said, they could have easily had three goals going into the 3rd, as Hossa missed the net twice and Howard made a few great saves. Craw looked sharp again, but for the love of God he needs to stop trying to make slick plays with the puck behind the net. Ultimately, even on slow(er) nights these guys are just so talented that most teams won't be able to hang. Their puck movement on the first two PP's was awesome, and when they aren't gased they make people look really bad in the neutral zone and with their forecheck. They probably aren't as talented as the 2010 team (who is?), but if the 3rd line becomes consistent (they kind of sucked tonight), the Oduya-Hammer pairing continues to play well, and Craw is solid, there's no reason to think they can't win another Cup.
  9. Chisenhall would be an underwhelming return, especially if we still have to eat a lot of Fonzy's salary.
  10. Can you imagine how good we'd be with just a solid, Mike Richter-type net minder?
  11. Agreed on both counts. Seconded, just curious about Teo v Ogletree.
  12. Maybe they can trade Kevin Love for him. Or LeBron. Come to think of it, what's Garnett's trade value these days? ;)
  13. the other mock on the site has Te'o Is there any question that Ogletree is better?
  14. He might be too tired after 3 games in 4 days. Maybe he'll have some sent in. I'm glad he's decided to make all the people that wanted to trade him for a goalie look even dumber. Agreed. That made no sense from the start.
  15. I'd give my left nut for the Bulls to have the chance to draft Ben McLemore and pair him with Rose. That would be sick.
  16. Pretty good chance Kaner will be chasing tail on Rush tonight
  17. Damn that was close. I will be there Sunday night against Scum. Psyched.
  18. Aside from his dumb ass puck handling, Craw has been really good tonight.
  19. The Blues seem to do this to us every time. Plus we keep turning the damn puck over.
  20. Te'o going to the bears, coming out as gay, and then becoming an all-pro linebacker is now my dream upon dream. Regardless of all the other stuff, I don't want him. He screams "bust".
  21. While Callahan is known for being a royal a-hole, isn't Tim Brown a pretty surly dude himself? I agree that the timing is awfully strange. The timing of this continues to make little sense.
  22. Vancouver has a trade for Luongo in place with a mystery team: http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/van130122.html EDIT: Based on Van's needs, I don't see the Hawks being a fit.
  23. Tim Brown said on Sirius/XM this morning that Bill Callahan changed the Raiders' game plan 36 hours ahead of the SB vs. Tampa Bay ten years ago. He attributes this to Callahan and Gruden being good friends and hating the Raiders (recall that Gruden had been their coach the year prior). Brown said that Callahan sabotaged the team and that they never had a chance. That seems pretty unbelievable. Why wait this long to bring it up?
  24. There is a rumor on realgm that the Bulls/Sonics ( :) )/Bobcats are having talks centered around the infamous Bobcats protected pick the Bulls have. Bulls get: Jason Thompson Jimmer Fredette Trailblazers Top 12 Protected 1st round pick (from Charlotte) Sonics get: Gerald Henderson Nazr Mohammed Bobcats get: Future 1st round pick back from Bulls Richard Hamilton That would leave the Bulls (post return) with Rose/Hinrich/Robinson/Teague Bellineli/Fredette/Cook Deng/Butler/Radmonovic Boozer/Gibson Noah/Thompson And 2 first round picks this year in the late teens to mid 20s That would be a solid trade for the Bulls in terms of depth, but do you trust Fredette to start? Bellineli?
