  1. Ok, that's better. Consider my Cards fan / troll comment w/drawn.
  2. This is the kind of game that makes me feel good; like may be this is the start of a turn around... But then tomorrow will come, and the Cards will take harsh revenge against us.
  3. Anyone else smell Cards fan (or troll)?
  4. People seem to like me b/c I am polite and rarely late.
  5. I ate some fiberglass insulation. It wasn't cotton candy like that guy said. ...my tummy itches. The bears are attracted to the menstration! Where did you get those clothes? The toilet store? Would you like to go to the pants party? Why don't you go back to your home on whore island? HEY - this is a Brick Tamlund forum only! "I threw a Trident..."

  7. i THINK LASSORDA IS PLAYING DOWN TO THE CUBS THEY WANNA RUB IT IN LOUD NOISES! Turn your caps off, my friend.
  8. Go Cubs Go Go Cubs Go Hey Chicago, what do you say? Think they'll bother to show up today?
  9. KC is supposed to stink. We have three-times the talent and we stink. IMHO, that makes us worse.
  10. LOUD NOISES!!! This team needs help at all 3 OF positions, bullpen, and at SP. Its diffifult to predict who will be available to trade for, but I'll assume that we can get one veteran OF and one veteran reliever via trade. I'd like to see us go w/ Murton in LF, Pie in CF, and trade for a veteran RF like Dunn. That's plenty of power - Dunn, Lee, Ramirez - to make up for the relative lack of pop in CF and LF. And CPAtt is therefore trade bait. Package him w/ Hill and two B or C level prospects for Dunn and a prospect. I can live with that - Dunn is a proven talent and we desperatly need his production. I am fine w/ our catchers. I like Barrett a lot more this year than I did last year. Corner IFs are set. Middle IFs are troubling. I like Walker enough, but as much as I love Nomar, can we count on him? I think we have to bring him back again only b/c, basedon my model, its too risky to play Cedeno (b/c I have also put Murton and Pie in the lineup). May be I am wrong. W/ Nomar: Pie Walker Lee Dunn ARam Nomar Murton Barrett W/out him, everyone moves up and Cedeno bats 8th. I dunno - may be that works. Bench is a major issue. I can't stand Macias, but I can live with the other most-hated-man at NSSB, Nefi. I think we deperately need a guy who can 1B as well as OF to give D Lee a day off now and then, and therefore I also like Mabry. And we have a major backup OF need also; I'd prefer some veterans in that role. Quite frankly  , I am not sure what to do here. I like Wood as the closer, though I agree with anyone who says that his salary is rich for a closer not named Rivera or Gagne. We need another middle reliever to stabalize the pen, preferably from the left side, IMO. I have always liked Arthur Rhodes, and I would bring back Dempster: Wood Dempster Rhodes Bad Ohman Novoa Williamson - I love this guy. Starters: Prior Z Maddux Williams FA: I like Washburn - veteran with postseason experience.
  11. Gosh, who cares? JH isn't bringing Koronka up to show management he wants to win. You don't win with Jon Koronka. At this point, he might just be trying to puff his value a bit to position him for an offseason trade. Or they are deperate. Or Koronka is one of "Dusty's Dudes". Does it really matter? As of this moment we are the worst team in baseball.
  12. \:D/ I love this radio commercial: OLD STYLE LETTERS!!!!......BA BA BA BA BA!!!!
  13. You think only 50%? I think you guys are seriously overvaluing the effect of the manager. I believe that I said "at least". I am not sure, b/c I am not in the dugout to observe. I can guess that there's enough blame to go around, but I mainly blame Dusty, with the players being a very close second.
  14. I wouldn't be so sure. Through the years, this team has never failed to shock me by keeping the biggest boneheads around and getting rid of the smart people. I am not sure that the old rules apply anymore. We of Cubs Nation have become quite a bit more impatient and angry since the days of Himes, et al.
  15. The ushers have the tasers ready... I seriously cannot recall a time when they have played this badly, and I have been around for some really horrendous years. Do we now think they are trying to get Dusty fired?
  16. Thisis the end of Dusty. JH gave him the dreaded vote of confidence and tried to redirect the media's attention to the players (who, in reality, are at least 50% responsible). He gone.
  17. Dusty is not likely to see Sept. I can see Dusty being fired, Spier becoming the interim manager, and every kid we have all been begging to see get called up for September. Call em' the Chicago D Jaxx.
  18. There's a sort of freedom and comfort in knowing they stink ahnd are loafing through the year; I won't get my hopes up. Its when they are on the cusp of something great that you hurt the worst. As such, the 03' NLCS takes the cake, IMO. I was at Shea Stadium for all 3 games in September last year; I witnessed the melt down. As upset as I was, the memory of Game 6 in 03' hurts more. I am driven nearly to tears when its replayed on t.v.
  19. Just going through the motions... And David Wright is one really ugly dude.
  20. He's been huffing and sighing all game. I feel bad for the guy. Actually, I feel bad for all Cubs fans. We've had it bad for years now. Agreed. I remember being at Wrigley in 97', watching Mike Lansing hit HRs and the Rocks kicking our butts. This reaks of that. I am not going to lie: If they stink when I am there tomorrow night, I will "boo".
  21. I'll give Wuertz credit for battling out there. We might as well clean house though. Bring up Pie and company. These gusy are done. I can't believe I am going to see these bums tomorrow night.
  22. Holly needs to be pulled. He's not even trying out there. He loafed at that ball like it was a pre-game warm up. Dusty has absolutely lost these guys. He may lose his job over this series.
  23. Says in an Insider article that JH wants them at CF and SS in 2006. This is good news, and may also indicate that Mr. Baker's time is short.
