    Kaplan said the other night, Hendry loves Murton, but that he almost guaranteed that Jones would not be with the team to start next year. Schnikes that's good news if true!

    That doesn't sound like someone that's going to trade Izturis to me. At the same time, he could be attempting to boost Izturis' trade value. he has a history of doing that sort of thing, IIRC. I think Izturis and Dempster are goners.

    Only problem with that reasoning is that neither Hendry nor Lou is here for the long haul if they don't win this year.

    If that is actually the rotation, they had better be adding two impact bats to the lineup. If you sub in Schmidt for Meche that's a very decent rotation. If not, its middling.

    Didn't see this posted anywhere else. Heard on ESPN 1000 Chicago Sportscenter update this morning that Gil Meche (Career Stats) is next on Hendry's list and could be in the fold soon. Someone please help me understand why we are targeting this guy.

    I don't have a problem with bringing Hank back, but it should have been 2 years and 3 mill, 4 tops.

    This has "Jeff Blauser Redux" written all over it, unless he really is being brought in as a super-utility guy. Of course, if that is the case then he is probably overpaid for his role. Those career stats make me real nervous.

    This without even mentioning that Glendon may never pitch again. Want Bonderman?: Prior and Marmol/Marshall might be a start.

    I have no problem with that whatsoever. Its actually a smart move. He's going to be exiting his prime having played his entire career at a position that takes a major physical toll on teh player (see Scott Rolen, for example).

The only thing we are doing is challenging him on his backwards a** arguments. He knew he was in for it when he posted it. If he didn't like the response he shouldn't have come in here spouting off. Some of the responses back at him were against the board rules too. Best as I can tell, mine were not. I'll let it go.

    Why don't you wait and see if your 4-4 team can even make the playoffs. There are only two very good teams left on our schedule (Eagles and Giants) and the Falcons and Saints are in free-fall mode. I'm pretty sure we're getting in. So b/c the Saints lost on the road today to the defending SB champs they are in "free fall". They still have a better record than your underachieving bunch. Again, see us all again after tomorrow night's game, a trap if I ever saw one. They also got killed two weeks ago at home by a Baltimore team that just lost to the Titans. Ah, the ol' connect the dots argument. Do they have the BCS computer in the NFL? Seriuously man, your guys are at .500. Save your smack talk for Oakland Raiders fans.

There are only two very good teams left on our schedule (Eagles and Giants) and the Falcons and Saints are in free-fall mode. I'm pretty sure we're getting in. You already lost to 4-5 Minny and 4-5 Cincy. Don't get ahead of yourself. We were without Smith and should've beat Minny. I'm still pissed at Chris Gamble for that ridiculous lateral on the punt return. It's crap like that that got Carolina to 4-4 in the first place. Excuses are like *******, everyone has one.

    How bout you wait to comment til the games over. Even if the Bears win this game (which I fully expect them to do), they only have so many comebacks in them. One of these times the Bears will have to stop coughing it up. They have one loss. How many does Carolina have? Oh yeah, 4. Just concentrate on winning your game tomorrow.
