  1. No one is talking about the Nuggets (except for last night's non-call), but they might be able to give LA a hard time for 6 or 7 games. Cavs are going to be far more rested when they get to the Finals.
  2. How about Lee to KC? They could .show their fans how serious they are by acquiring a vet like him.
  3. Lou's conduct doesn't even cross my mind at this point. There are so many more important fish to fry.
  4. Exactly - Andrews doesn't need to get Aramis under the knife to improve his business. He's valued in part b/c he doesn't bring his surgical skills to bear unnecessarily. Still, based on the new diagnosis, if I were Hendry I would be looking for some help within the next couple of weeks. Tough time of year to make a trade though.
  5. Brilliant.
  6. They have been dinged up pretty much all season thus far, and the season is about 6 weeks old. Bradley and Geo havenb't hit much; Lee isn't near what he was three or four years ago. Yet here they are, a few games over .500 and very much "in it". I really don't think this is a reason to panic. In the past, with Neifi as your back up and Dusty as your manager, I would have raised the white flag. Not with this group. And don't freak if Jim doesn't run out and trade for some one. Let's see if Freel can fill-in for a week or two before we start calling for Hendry to bring in a reinforcement. As another poster mentioned, I'd rather see Hendry concentrate on fixing our very spotty bullpen.
  7. I love what he has been saying to the press about his approach. To paraphrase, it hasn't changed: get on base, go the other way with the pitch, the power will come, etc. Can you imagine him out-homering Lee?
  8. Mesa thinks that Mark Anderson's head could role if he doesn't have a good camp. He's one-dimensional, so if he isn't rushing the passer why have him around at all?
  9. LOL - Bolland can barely speak. He sounds drunk.
  10. Flames are frustrated - just hang in. It'll come around.
  11. Someone pls kill the fan with the g-damn airhorn.
  12. Buff doing a nice job walking away from that one. They aren;t as good as we are - don't make em better by giving them a PP. HA HA - great hit by Seabrook!
  13. I don't have a problem with them not calling roughing there. I like letting them have a few small skirmishes during p-off time.
  14. Flames are really flying around right now. They look every bit the "desperate team".
  15. They were barely trying out there once the shot went up. Terrible positioning, not much jumping, and hesitant to try and grab the ball. Huh? Are we talking about the same thing? I am talking about the winning shot only.
  16. I think thats a bit premature
  17. Hard to get upset about that one. Allen just beat us.
  18. 100% agree. What the hell is he doing aving Old Man River trying to catch Gordon? Its not like he's 6'6". Put Rondo on him.
  19. Best jump shooting I have seen by one of the Bulls since Jordan. Amazing.
  20. If the O Line is good and Forte continues to progress, it may not matter that our receivers aren't great. A guy like Lloyd - big and long-armed - could really benefit from having a guy like Cutler throwing to him. And perhaps Lovie can release the Bennett kid from Guantanomo. EDIT: So the strating O Line is: Pace Garza Kruetz That FA Guard they signed Williams That's pretty good assuming that Pace is healthy. Now you really are free to get a WR in the 2nd Rnd. Or better yet, improve on our pass defense by getting a CB or DT to free up Harris on the pass rush.
  21. that's kinda gay Ok. In my book Jerry has had many an opportunity to strike on the offensive side of the ball and all too often didn't pull the trigger. Moreover, he's very often been too conservative with his 1st rnd picks. This is quite a change and it could make or break his career. There's been nothing of this caliber to cross Jerry's desk since he's been here. Arguably correct, but that doesn't mean he hasn't missed opportunities to improve the team on that side of the ball, including the line.

  23. Pardon the analogy, but Jerry Angelo just showed us his nuts and they are much bigger than I previously thought. I love this deal.
  24. Perhaps Denver would send a 3rd Rnd pick our way this season or next if we include this year's no. 1, next year's no. 2 and Orton. Problem as I see it is that giving them our picks won't enable them to draft a good young QB this year. Isnt Sanchez likely to be gone by then?
