  1. The shot Caleb took from the Lions LB was it cheap? Appeared to me Caleb was starting to go down and the LB targeted his knee.
  2. Honestly, letting Eberflus remain the head coach pretty much clinches a 4-13 finish with a pick inside the top 10. So adding more talent to a team with an already decent roster and a QB. Beyond that, since ownership isn't changing, they're going to have to luck into good coaching. Whomever they ultimately line up as candidates it won't be McCaskey-Poles proof, it's going to have to be the luck of the draw.
  3. The only solution is a change of ownership, current ownership is incapable of making anything resembling the correct move. It's really a shame because, Caleb appears to be the kind of QB Bears fans have waiting for all their lives and he's going to be wasted by this joke of an organization.
  4. Of course, Wright and Shelton got hurt, thought the line was starting to play OK, then, more injuries. Who knows, if Wright is not hurt Caleb' probably not sacked on the last drive.
  5. Most any "fan" can now see Eberflus must be shown the door.
  6. Wasn't there a 3-10 with the Bears giving Addison or whatever horsefeathers face receiver for the Vikings a huge cushion? And, of course, the Vikings easily converted. What's not tentative or soft about that?
  7. It a simple fact if Jim Harbaugh is coach of the Bears they win this game and are probably 8-4/9-3. But no, Bears ownership wants to win in "right" or what the horsefeathers ever way and Harbaugh is just too out there for them. Oh well, at least the Illini kicked Arkansas' ass.
  8. This what I don't understand, his approach is not working, ultimately it's going to result in his termination. Knowing this, one would think he'd change trying to save his job. Is he too dense? Does he not realize he's going to be a former head coach sometime soon?
  9. Plus finding player X who over performs in 2025 translating to an 85 or so win team, good times.
  10. Is Alabama still a possibility? Even in the remotest? Because, I believe if there's even the slightest case to justify Alabama' inclusion, it'll happen.
  11. Chalking up he loses to Washington and Green Bay to solely variance is way off. They are things Eberflus could have done in both games that could have dramatically increased the Bears chances of winning. Yes, a good deal of variance is still involved however, there is a factor of putting your players/team in a position to succeed. This is where Eberflus routinely fails, I don't know, maybe, the whole staff is football brain-dead. If me, a novice football fan, knows Daniels ribs are affecting his ability to throw deep so, let's not give him free yardage to make the Hail Mary throw shorter. Or, my kicker has to kick line drives on longer kicks, maybe, I should try to get as close as possible by running a couple of plays before attempting a FG. There's got to be someone on his staff, the supposed expert professionals who do this for a living, suggesting the same things to Eberflus.
  12. Saw a replay of the DJ to Rome pass attempt, good arm by DJ, holy horsefeathers was that DPI, wasn't questionable, just flat out blatant, didn't see Eberflus' reaction, guessing there was a feeble attempt at a complaint. I'd like to understand why it's OK to mug Bears' receivers this year, just like it was OK to head hunt Fields last year.
  13. I like the scene on their flight, fellow is sleeping on Steve Martin, coughing, Martin, disgusted, looks over at John Candy who opens his eyes - "Six bucks and my right nut were not landing in Chicago..." Lions offensive is rolling, it'll probably be ugly, Bears do have a QB and some decent receivers, they'll score some points on the Lions. Maybe, quite a few points, while giving up quite a few.
  14. Watched the Jenkins film, really nice to see a Bears QB not be overwhelmed by the Vikings and their blitzes. They had their shot, they had a big advantage being the first time Caleb has faced them and they couldn't shake him. That's got bode well for the future. Just heard Caleb was 9-12, should have been 10-12, 2 TD's vs. the Vikings blitzes, not bad.
  15. The Bears will lose, probably by double digits, however, they'll move the ball on the Lions and score some points.
  16. Most definitely, almost any coach would have helped lead the Bears to a win in the games against the Commanders, Packers, Vikings and Patriots/Cardinals. It's not rocket surgery, as we've seen, it takes a special kind of ineptness to lose games a manner like the Bears.
  17. I'd take the Bears because of Caleb, the talent and potential are there, just needs an improvement in coaching. You fix that and I'll take my chances against Detroit, Green Bay and Minnesota.
  18. If the Bears had an OC tailoring the offense, as Brown seems to be doing, to Caleb' strengths from the start. He'd be kicking the horsefeathers out of Nix and Daniels, I don't have single doubt, with better coaching, Caleb will ultimately be the best QB out of Daniels, Nix and Maye. Now it's up to Bears to luck into the right coach.
  19. Most especially against Love and Darnold, their not all that great and can be had with pressure, maybe, someone should inform Eberflus.
  20. It's got to be a case of succeeding despite themselves, somehow the right coach has to fall in their laps. Their due diligence always results in failure, I don't it's possible to overcome that expect by sheer luck.
  21. Can someone who knows football more than I please explain the logic behind Eberflus' defensive approach in high leverage situations? I really do not understand rushing 4 + soft zone allowing easy completions, he did at Detroit last season, against the Packers, yesterday, etc. maybe, they're being aggressive and I can't see it.
  22. It's truly not possible, he's really stupid in that he doesn't learn from mistakes and try different approaches. It's the same old losing strategy and tactics time and again.
  23. Rest of the NFC North better hope the Bears don't bear/stumble their way into competent coaching. Caleb Williams has the goods to be the best, better than Love, McCarthy (eventually) and Goff. Once again Eberflus coaching not to lose results in just that - losing. There was no reason whatsoever to not go after Darnold and blitz the hell out of him. Instead it was more rush 4 and soft zone, if the Bears were coached by most anyone they'd be 7-4 or 8-3 right now. It's got to be apparent to Warren/Poles that Eberflus is not a good NFL HC.
  24. And Eberflus does nothing, right? He'll make certain to send that film to the NFL and lodge a complaint or whatever.
  25. The whole horsefeathers season they've let defenders mug Bears' receivers, just like last season Fields head-hunting. It's got to have something to do with weak-ass Eberflus.
