  1. Ben Johnson is not the only avenue to success, if the Bears properly address the OL. There's no reason Kingsburry or Joe Brady can't be as successful as Ben Johnson with the Bears.
  2. The only caveat being Poles' ability in picking those players. I don't trust that he can nor do I have faith he'll make the trenches priorities. I really hope he's given his walking papers on black Monday.
  3. So, yeah Caleb is now Zach Wilson bad, Wilson, who had, 6292 yards, 23 TD and 25 INT for his career, get the horsefeathers out of here. This season can't end quick enough.
  4. Advisor to the owner, going such a route, the Bears might end up with a meathead like the Lions with Campbell. Who, if he hires good offensive and defensive coordinators along with improvement in the trenches, could work out.
  5. Don't know if an offensive player is necessary, Spielman was a LB. Was thinking aloud, don't know the solution, the only thing we do know is the being advised by the likes Polian and Accorsi does not work.
  6. Maybe, instead of Bill Polian/Ernie Accorsi route, McCaskey and Warren should be advised by a former player ala the Lions with Spielman. Someone intelligent, who has a passion for the Bears, who as a former player, can relate the embarrassment and frustration of being on bad Bears teams and how to possibly turn things around .
  7. There aren't many solid reasons he should get another year, all evidence suggests to the contrary. I think it best to start with a clean slate.
  8. If McCaskey is a supposed fan how can he not be embarrassed and pissed? Does the cash still flowing in make the state of the team not matter? Does this clown truly want to win?
  9. Poles, which I don't get, he drafts a punter with, for a punter, a high pick and doesn't address his noodle legged place kicker.
  10. He won't, he'll keep finding more Nate Davises to sign and Chase Claypools to trade for.
  11. I believe Warren knows this part, McCaskey with his wanting to promote stability or, whatever the horsefeathers it is, may not. Warren did get him to fire Eberflus so there's hope.
  12. Good points, never said it was easy, just to keep beating the Bears are broken into ground and because they're broken this and that isn't possible is foolish.
  13. All this BS about the Bears are broken is tiresome sure, they're broken right now. It doesn't mean they can't be fixed, it doesn't mean a new GM won't be able to come in hire a good HC and address the roster issues. For the new GM it's going to be a hell of a lot easier with the QB in place. And the Caleb not being the next GM' QB is not going to play either, that's only a "concern" when the inherited QB sucks like Trubisky and Fields.
  14. No excuses for the Bears but, the fact they've a noodle legged kicker has to play into this miss. For a reasonable chance at a FG they're looking at the 35 yard line and in, it's a big handicap.
  15. That's my only concern, all the other hand wringing about play calling, clock management, etc. is pointless, beyond Caleb there's nothing to take away from this season.
  16. Plus I'm certain Jenkins, while not playing, somehow further injured his calf.
  17. Was this actually a game in which some one on the OL didn't go down with an injury?
  18. If, and it's a big if, the Bears get their horsefeathers together and Caleb becomes one the best QB's in the NFL, I'll take my chances with the almighty NFC North. Really, in this case horsefeathers all of Detroit, Green Bay and Minnesota, having the best QB gives you a chance.
  19. I don't think that's going to happen, he's gone.
  20. There's only 32 of these jobs, the Bears have a potential superstar QB whom most any offensive coach would love to work with, one ****** game in a lost season isn't going to seal his decision.
  21. This is hot take horsefeathers nonsense.
  22. Nor would I, thanks for our franchise QB and here's the door.
  23. Yes, all this crap about being so far from a competitive team, fixing the OL alone makes them competitive.
  24. Do you think he even sees it's gross incompetence? Where was Mr. Yale tonight? Studying for the Bar?
