  1. He's a Cub, I'm a Cub fan, the right thing to do is cheer him on.
  2. .274/.298/.383/.681 is quite terrible, and that was a career year for him when you adjust for parks. It's fine for a back-up SS & that's what he was brought to the Cubs to be.
  3. line-ups: Pierre Walker Lee Ramirez Jones Murton Cedeno Blanco Z
  4. I'm listening to ESPN 1000 & they said TW is back in the starting line-up today. Also, Hendry has been extended through the 08' season.
  5. Walker 2 for 27 v.s. Carpenter? Ouch! Just my guess, but I think Dusty will start Walker @ 2nd & Neifi @ SS.
  6. I don't hear any other Cardinal players complaining about the hot water. Jim's just never been as happy of a person since Edgar & Placido have left the team. Wasn't the shower their favorite meeting place?
  7. Baez was a very good closer LY for the D-rays.
  8. If he understood what it is, he would have never hit Neifi & Macias #1 & #2 LY has frequently as he did. Yea, I know but I was hoping for a miracle over the off season. Its going to be a long year if Neifi is batting 2nd again. If I was Lee, I would be so pissed. Its pure assanine I'm just not as suprised as some people in Dusty's decision making. I'm ok with Neifi in the line-up,occasionally. The problem is he should never hit higher than 7th due to his frequency to GIDP.
  9. If he understood what it is, he would have never hit Neifi & Macias #1 & #2 LY has frequently as he did.
  10. Todd McShay from Scouts, Inc. on ESPN Insider has the Bears drafting in the 1st & 2nd rounds: 26. Chicago Bears (11-5) Top five needs: CB, TE, SLB, OT, DT The pick: +Ashton Youboty, CB, Ohio State Charles Tillman is coming off a shoulder injury, unrestricted free agent Jerry Azumah isn't expected back and free-agent signee Dante Wesley isn't an every-down corner. Keeping that in mind, the Bears need a corner who can push for playing time opposite Nathan Vasher. Youboty is inconsistent and will give up some big plays when left on an island. However, he has good top-end speed, has the frame to get bigger and has good short-area man-to-man cover skills. 57. Chicago Bears Anthony Fasano | TE | Notre Dame
  11. How's Rick Ankiel progressing as an OF?

  13. Actually,we have 2 Angel's. Let's not get too greedy! :)
  14. during a nationally televised game, nonetheless.
  15. Any loss by a central division foe is Good news for the Cubs. BTW, I had no problem with Mitre being part of the Pierre deal.
  16. Dunn has AL DH written all over him. One dimensional & it's not even funny, except for today. I was LMAO!!
  17. Sabathia with 3 K's!
  18. There was also a pitch to Thome, in the exact same spot that Buerhle threw to Sizemore, that was called a ball.
  19. The lineup: Baker has announced the Cubs lineup for Monday's game. Juan Pierre will lead off followed by Todd Walker, Lee, Aramis Ramirez, Jacque Jones, Michael Barrett, Matt Murton, Ronny Cedeno and Zambrano. Rain, rain go away: The Cubs' pre-Opening Day workout was cancelled Sunday due to a sudden rainstorm at Great American Ball Park. The weather forecast for Monday's game is also iffy, with a slight chance for afternoon showers and falling temperatures through the 50s. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20060402&content_id=1380655&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  20. The Reds are hitting .205 v.s. Z-man!!! Gotta like the Cubs chances in this one.
  21. It looks like the Phils prefered Madson over Tejada as a potential starter. Tejada's BB/K rate wasn't that good in his 13 GS LY: 85.2IP /72K /51BB
  22. Cabrera & Willis will be making a ton in arbitration next year. It will be somewhere between 15-20 mil combined.
  23. His predictions make it sound like it.
  24. Rosenthal's right there with him. He picked the BJ's to win it all.
  25. Joe Morgan & Jon Miller may pursuade you to avoid baseball on ESPN altogether.
