  1. Small ball, dude. The loss of D.Lee stresses even more the imporatnce of sm. ball.
  2. Has Restovich played any 1st base? He does have some RH power.
  3. The word is White Sox fans are begging for a larger fan base, they will accept you with open arms.
  4. From the Trib: Lee Could be out 2-3 months Thanks. I hadn't read that in the Trib earlier. The key word is COULD, which means nothing has been confirmed yet. Maybe Sullivan is jumping the gun, here. Typical media scum.
  5. Huff isn't even starting material. Clark would be ok. Sweeney is who I would want the most from that list. I'm not sure Sweeney is worth 12.5 mil per season for the next 2 years.
  6. That is 99% of all media outlets goals. The more reaction, chaos & emotion they cause, the more newspapers sold, internet hits & better ratings. The media always stretches the truth.
  7. My posts are reaction to this statement: "If so, I say go hard after Miggy."
  8. It would cost Z at the minimum. Not with the price tag he'll be due. He could easily become as expensive as Cabrera, and the Marlins wouldn't want that. Miggy, I interpreted as Tejada.
  9. It would cost Z at the minimum.
  10. Note to True Cub fans: Don't let the pessimists & trolls on this board sway you into the Dusty & Neifi, etc. hate. The fact is he is one of the best back-up SS's in the game. He was never signed by the Cubs to be anything else. Another fact that remains is that it's only a 25 man roster & each team plays 162 games in limited days. Therefore, when people B&C complain constantly, whenever Neifi get PT, the TBCF's that choose to root for ALL Cub players by all means are going to take offense to those who troll & hate.
  11. Their bottom of the order is pretty ugly. 8) yep, like I said yesterday, LA's lineup is basically Furcal, Drew (tonight Kent as well), and the bums. I'd still like to see Ronny in over Neifi anyday. Don't need to burn out the youngster. Neifi starting every once in a while is a good idea.
  12. Neifi will gets some starts. The best time to start him is when the Cubs best hitting pitcher is on the mound.
  13. Dusty likes to keep his bench guys fresh early in the season, by giving them an occasional start. I don't have a problem with him starting every once in a while,as long as he hits 7th or lower in the order.
  14. Dubois is too often fooled by the breaking pitch. Until he adjusts he is not major league material.
  15. 12. Sp's: Zambrano, Maddux, Rusch, Williams, Marshall Bullpen: Dempster, Howry, Eyre, Williamson, Ohman, Novoa, Aardsma. Anyone know Aardsma's AAA numbers for this season?
  16. 5'11" 190 I voted for 2B. However, I have slightly above avg. speed & could cover some ground. CF may be a good fit. Arm isn't strong enough for RF.
  17. how much of his salary do we have to pay? He just signed a 2yr. 5mil contract, all guaranteed.
  18. TY Jim Hendry for fleecing the Red Sox!!
  19. Marshall enduced 3 straight ground balls to get out of a jam. Bay's GB was lucky it got through. GJ, Sean Marshall!
