  1. Nope, just every team in a division, then rotate. We'll play every AL team every 3 years.
  2. Congrats to Mark Cuban and the Mavericks. The better team won.
  3. Just inform all us simpletons, Benchwarmer: How exactly does a win-loss record reflect on a middle reliever's ability and level of talent?
  4. Always ready to pull a defeat from the jaws of victory. It doesn't even bother me this year.
  5. The Yankees have so much money that bad signings are easily absorbed. The Cubs don't have seemingly endless funds like the Yankees do, so no to Cashman please.
  6. When you have a GM who just loves to re-sign non-productive former Cubs each year just to give them a paycheck, who could be surprised. Wood isn't productive? What are you babbling about? Reading is fundamental. 1-3 record for an overpaid non-productive thrower is what I'd expect. Try to keep up. Are you seriously saying that a) $1.5 million for Kerry Wood is too much, and b) you're quoting his win-loss record as a means to back yourself up? And people say my arguments are stupid.
  7. The prophesy has been foretold!
  8. Exactly. I don't see an issue with this. For one, I love interleague play and would love to see it year-round. The Astros in the AL West makes sense. That's why it won't happen. Put me on record as being totally against the elimination of divisions, though. Those should stay. Otherwise this is just a ploy for baseball to keep the Yankees and Red Sox in the playoffs every year now that the Rays are good.
  9. I was going to post "Want to wager on that?", and then I saw the date of the OP.
  10. Yes, that would probably be the preferable option, all things considered. Give it to a St. Vincent's or Goodwill or something, or even just a random homeless guy.
  11. In the opinion of one man. That's your opinion and you're entitled to it.
  12. I never said I was going to do it, I just said I don't blame THAT guy for doing it. imb with class, as always.
  13. I can't really say I blame him lately...
  14. Yup. 3-0 may as well be 30-0 against Halladay.
  15. Cubs anemic offense vs. possibly the best pitcher in baseball today = epic fail.
  16. Ouch! Good one.
  17. I never heard about this. Details?
  18. Awww.... is someone cranky today?
  19. My money's on a Davis no-hitter, minimum. It's funny that the Cubs are so bad right now, that whenever they win, "CUBS WIN" trends on Twitter.
  20. My money's on a Davis no-hitter, minimum.
  21. I'll vote for this!
  22. +1 Absolutely. Agreed. Vince McMahon agrees too. sports A lot of those guys are athletes on par with any other sport.
  23. The bright side is that my opponent for the week sat him in our Fantasy League... 3 pages for a game thread ? I remember when these were routinely 50+... Yeah, those longer game threads coincided with the Cubs actually being worth watching.
