  1. Heyman just tweeted that the Rangers are officially out of the running.
  2. Pena should net a good return. There is always a market for LH power.
  3. We shouldn't have to eat a ton to move Z. Even 5-6 million should net us a good prospect or two for him if you're really looking to move him, but I don't see why everyone is itching to. Sori I can see, but why Z?
  4. I was looking forward to Christian Ponder becoming a stain on the Metrodome turf. :(
  5. The managers should have 1 or 2 challenges per game before it falls to the umpires. Baseball NEEDS replay, and better accountability for its officials. I wonder if Jake has trashed his living room over that call. lol
  6. This, honestly, is one of the worst calls I've ever seen, if not THE worst. Right at the end of the highlight... http://espn.go.com/blog/SweetSpot/post/_/id/14246/we-have-a-new-worst-call-ever We don't need replay WHY, exactly? This was also in the "other games" thread, but I thought it was appropriate here, too.
  7. What could we get for him if we do trade him? Like a 3rd rounder?
  8. Hawk could be better, though. He hasn't lived up to his #5 overall pick. Pretty good, yes, but not great.
  9. How long do you have to be out of the game after filing retirement papers before being eligible for re-instatement? Because Palmer could officially "retire", go to Canada or whatever for a year to stay in football shape, then come back and be an unrestricted Free Agent and sign wherever he wants, right?
  10. Tim said I could start this thread, so here it is. We released Nick Barnett today. Not much else going on with the team at the moment, but I'm sure there will be plenty of transactions in the coming days and weeks.
  11. lol...yea there's no undrafted success stories out there...like Kurt Warner, or Warren Moon, or Antonio Gates, or Priest Holmes, or Tony Romo, or Jeff Saturday, or Adam Vinateri, or . I never said there wasn't. There's always diamonds in the rough. But as of right now they don't have much value and you can't be certain they'll even develop into useful players. Why don't you start up a packers thread and post there instead? :) As long as it's ok with you that I start a Packers thread, I'll do it.

  13. "Best of the Undrafted Free Agent Class" is like being King of Turd Mountain.
  14. That was expected, right? Yeah, not a huge surprise. I figured he'd be one of the casualties. Still kinda sucks, though. He was good.
  15. Who has gloated about it? I think everyone (sans erik) has handled it pretty level-headed on here. And does erik really count? I haven't been that bad. Sure, I gloated a bit (and got a BS suspension) after the NFC Championship game, but it was merely in retaliation for all the crap I took during the season, especially after the Week 3 game. Since then I think I've been pretty good. A few minor digs here and there, but nothing too bad. You gotta admit I've been pretty mellow lately.
  16. I think "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request" should be played after every home loss.
  17. Yeah, because I'm sure you'd be so bothered by it if the Bears won the Super Bowl and people here were gloating about it.
  18. If we want to talk about unlucky, how about Jay Cutler and his gimpy knee amirite? I kid. Cutler is a gamer and he wanted to play through it. Some of the meatheads after that game were seriously embarrassing.
  19. Sure, it was total luck. By your logic it was "lucky" the Bears even made the NFC Championship because they got to play the woeful Seahawks. GB went on a great run, and played the teams in front of them. I don't know what else you would have expected them to do. AND it was with a bunch of the regulars on IR. Just wait until the season starts and we have a lot of those guys back.
  20. Nobody cares? Or just you?
  21. Good. Now it's time to defend that title. Repeat.
  22. Good. Now it's time to defend that title.
  23. I could have understood it in 1998 as a year-long tribute to Harry, but it needs to go away now.
  24. This may be premature, but who was the last MLB team to go an entire season without winning 3 games in a row? It's probably like last year or something but I think it would be nice to know what we're chasing.
