    Did have the 6 game win streak with the middle 4 games all won by 6 or more runs. True. I guess I'm leery, though. I have a feeling at some point today we'll be saying "We could have used some of those runs today!"

    Last year we couldn't hit soft-tossing lefties worth a damn. This year, we stink in the game immediately following a blowout.

    I credit this to my Alaska keychain. When my wife and I honeymooned in Alaska two summers ago, I bought a keychain that has the Alaska license plate on it. After making that my main set of keys instead of the Wrigley Field keychain I was using, the Cubs went on their hot streak. They were hot with the Wrigley keys for a while, but I waited too long to switch them out. I did it after Votto's 3 HR game in Cincy, and they've been hot ever since. All hail the Alaska keys!

    I don't have to be positive about him because he's not on the team yet. I almost threw up a little bit though. I hope if the Cubs will dump him quickly if he sucks. Mr. Edmonds most certainly does suck, and in more than one way.
