  1. I gotta get back to work, all. Get us a win! Later STOP CHEERING EDMONDS, FANS AT WRIGLEY!
  2. i'm not getting your point then. you pretty much said starting him everyday at iowa was screwing him up more than sitting with the cubs. He wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants Pie up here and playing (like most of us). oh, okay. but then his point has nothing to do with edmonds. It kinda does. Edmonds made sure there was no way Pie would see any PT at all. Edmonds is probably the starter now, at worst a platoon with Johnson. Edmonds being here means Pie wouldn't have seen any playing time at ALL (not like he was seeing much anyway) because we all know about Lou's infatuation with Johnson.

He wants Pie up here and playing (like most of us). Yes. He has nothing left to learn in the minors. He should be up here, starting every day, and working out his issues at the big-league level.
  4. He should have sat today. DeRo should be at 1st and Cedeno should be starting. Cedeno is starting Gadzooks! Lee should be sitting today, though, just to rest him. Has he had a day off all year?
  5. Watch us lose 12-3 now. If we do it's IMB's fault.
  6. He should have sat today. DeRo should be at 1st and Cedeno should be starting.
  7. It is low-risk performance-wise. That doesn't make it less stupid. actually, it does. you see, low-risk means "little risk". Tossing Felix Pie to the minor leagues when we know exactly what will happen with him down there is stupid. I don't care how little risk is involved. well, then, to you, it's "high-risk". The risk of screwing up the development of our #1 prospect by keeping him in AAA when he can't really benefit from it anymore far outweighs a few weeks of Jim Edmonds possibly being bad. so, pie is going to get more screwed up playing everyday at iowa than by sitting everyday in chicago? makes sense, i guess. No, I'd rather him play every day. But if he puts up number like he did last time, he didn't really learn much, did he? At best it's stunting or delaying his development. At worst it screws him up.
  8. Nothing left to do but support him at this point. Edmonds might get distracted.
  9. No, because Bruce is wrong. I could well be wrong. I've had to talk myself into living with it (like I have another choice). If it doesn't work, they'll just get rid of him. No, you're right. It would only have been bad had it taken PT away from Pie. But since Felix wasn't getting any, it really doesn't make any difference. But we don't need him and he is hated at least by a majority of Cubs fans. If this post makes me a "meatball" then so be it. hating him for being jim edmonds makes you a meatball. Yay! I actually don't mind that. I am stubborn in my ways. I don't like Jim Edmonds and I'm not afraid to admit it. Preach it, brother!
  10. Leadoff single for Soriano. God, he sucks.
  11. I don't believe in booing your own players, but that doesn't mean I cheer him. I won't boo him right off the bat. But I'll probably be quicker to boo him than anyone else on the team.

  13. Giles singles to right. 1 out, 2 down. All 3 balls have been hit pretty hard. I hope that stops.
  14. Yes. I'm dissapointed in my fellow Cubs fans.
  15. I just threw up a little in my mouth when Pat said "Jim Edmonds is set to make his Cubs debut"
  16. They probably won't do anything since that announcement will never happen. Edmonds is wearing 15. Marquis is wearing 21. Someone in another thread said Marquis gave Edmonds number 21. Makes no sense. He's always had 15. Marquis has had 21. Why would he change? I didn't even know what his number was. Somebody said Marquis gave him 21 so I assumed he had always used number 21. Apparently I was misinformed. I was pissed that they didn't retire #21 when Sammy left. Now that one of my most hated players of all time will be wearing the number of my favorite player of all time makes me mad enough to break things.
  17. Give DeRo the start at 1st, move Riot to 2nd and start Cedeno at SS. Might as well keep it realistic and just hope that Cedeno starts at 2B in that scenario. I'd be ok with that too.
  18. Give DeRo the start at 1st, move Riot to 2nd and start Cedeno at SS.
  19. ^Batman reference??? Lol Ok, Kerry, stop. Please. Geeyah. Meloves me some Batman. 2 down!! Your name backwards is rabneg. Channeling Harry Caray, are we?
  20. CUBS WIN! Kerry made it interesting, but Giles flies to left to end the game. Whew.
