    David Aardsma and Dutch Zwilling, the first and last players alphabetically, both played for the Cubs at one point during their respective careers. I love oddball facts like this.

    It's always sad to hear when someone is gunned down in the prime of his or her life, especially someone as good-hearted and well-liked as he was. The double celebrity death trifecta is now complete. David Carridine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, Steve McNair. Let's hope this is the end of it. There's a lot of decent people on that list who went way too young.

    We've done it before, like last year, in Milwaukee. I was at Zambrano v. Sheets and it was amazing. I was at that final game. It was epic hearing 20,000 Cubs fans chanting "SWEEP! SWEEP! SWEEP!" while all the Brewers fans were walking out.

    Every hitter on the offense (save for Lee and maybe Soto) should be forced to watch the tape of Fox's 10th-inning AB. THAT is a quality major league at bat, something we have not had much of this year.
