  1. As far as releasing the scum bag, sure. But pretty sure they had knowledge of the incident way before today. They knew about in August as did the NFL, which is something they should be held accountable for. Of course, I would have a difficult time believing that the Cubs found out via her blog post. The Chiefs ultimate conclusion was a greater damnation than the Cubs, despite their efforts to conceal it.
  2. I'm glad that the organization enables this behavior. Repulsive.
  3. Word on the street is that the Cardinals offered him St Louis during negotiations Edited.
  4. Unless he's 100%, have him sit. I was hoping with Trubisky out, they would have been more creative with Howard and Cohen.
  5. Just bring in Chuck Hernandez on a one year deal, it'll be almost impossible to get a young coach on the rise with a potential lame duck manager.
  6. I don't follow. The Giants game is 9 days after the Lions game. He will have had a full 2 weeks between games. He has a shoulder injury and Daniel plays & does well, if he isn't 100%, just sit him against a garbage team. I'd rather see them be more cautious than they were with Mack.
  7. Hopefully if it comes down to it, they handle it better than they did with Mack. Sit him vs Detroit and NY and get him ready for LA. If they sit him vs Detroit, they almost have to vs the Giants. Daniel is much more capable than what we have seen in the past, knows the system, etc. I just wonder how much of Mitchell's 2nd half was caused by his shoulder compared to some of the inconsistency we have seen.
  8. that 2013 game still haunts me -Packers fumble and the Bears just stand there and walk off the field thinking the play is over, and eventually the packers realize and grab it and take it to the house -4th and Division from midfield and under a minute left. We bring the house against Rodgers and are literally 0.5 seconds from sacking him right as he finds the blown coverage and makes a perfect pass to Cobb for the season ending TD. Peppers was sooooo close to ending the game with a sack. You people still dont want GB knocked out of the playoff race earlier? eta: that was not a playoff game It'll be tough rooting for GB this weekend, however if they win and the Bears win, both GB and Minn both have to run the table to have a chance in the division.
  9. horsefeathers, now I have a taste for Matt's chocolate chip cookies.
  10. I'm more partial to Main Street Pub.
  11. Hopefully Brant Boyer from the Jets is avail.
  12. Those are pretty nice, but the regular uniforms are better. That's a Nike complaint, not a Bulls one, though. Unless the Bulls are wearing the uniforms with the "Chicago" in cursive, I like that new one better.
  13. Both #2 overall picks that put up good stats early in their career, neither of which meets the eye test. I actually think this is a good comparison. Bortles was 3, I think You're correct, although he's more similar to a 2nd overall pick from almost 20 years ago. Although most player comparisons are based on race 1st, Trubisky's profile is more similar to McNabb (strong armed, inconsistent mechanics/accuracy, running is something defenses have to scheme against). I know this goes against r_mack's premise or narrative of picking someone who's viewed negatively rather than looking at Trubisky objectively (but it's a much better player comparison).
  14. Kentucky ranked ahead of Ohio State... heh
  15. They have a hell of a pitching coach. Where did he come from? Oh yeah, the Cubs... Yeah, I've been thinking about that recently. Johnson must be off the charts amazing. He's in my top 3 to replace Maddon. TT already mentioned Hyde, and Disarcina are my top 3.
  16. I'm just more trying to make sense of how. I can't believe they are shutting down all of these offenses with some of the pitchers they are using and how much they are using everybody. Like, why can't the Dodgers score five runs in an inning just once or something? They have a hell of a pitching coach. Where did he come from? Oh yeah, the Cubs...
  17. Very true, it's legut about him a great guy. Also true about Thome as well.
  18. Solid hire, glad to see the FO utilizing their authority in personnel moves compared to Maddon wanting Davis. Time for the infamous lauch angle to change.
  19. Appears they gotten it wrong in BB as well, just sad, they've been surpassed by Northwestern (in BB as well, long surpassed in FB). Completely disagree, Underwood was a great hire and they have a really solid, deep class coming in this year. That is an awful take for a single year. I agree that Underwood was a great hire. Lovie was either going to be a great hire based on name recognition and his ability to create a good staff especially in-state. Unfortunately, Lovie hasn't recruited well and been able to get over the Beckman tenure.
  20. 5 mil a year for Lovie. I know coaches usually deserve 1 full recruiting cycle but, they would be justified if they canned him.
  21. Auburn picked the wrong year to extend Malzahn, especially with that amazing buy-out.
  22. If I was to wager on this one, my money would be on Derek Shelton.
  23. https://yanksgoyard.com/2018/01/29/yankees-coaching-carousel-comes-end/ PJ Piliterre is my favorite choice.
  24. Being Hodges' kid, hopefully he's not a flamethrower.... :bananas:
