  1. Soler shouldn't even be let in the same clubhouse.
  2. I knew a few kids who had those, but only one who somehow had the only Turbo Grafix 16 I ever saw AND the only Atari Jaguar I ever saw. God knows whatever happened to that poor bastard. I had Turbo Grafx 16, but never had a Jaguar.
  3. Oh yeah, definitely remember yearning for that. My cousin had it and he was always so indifferent to it and it drove me up the wall. In my head it was capable of making dinner or doing your homework or walking the dog. Basically I wanted a robot butler. It was pretty cool, I think I even got it to pour a drink once. I would actually still have it, but my brother decided to take it apart to see how it worked and then couldn't put it back together.
  4. I wanted that thing so bad when I was a kid. Yup. I apparently was such a little [expletive] about wanting it for Christmas that my parents wrote a fake letter from Santa Claus explaining why it wouldn't fit in the house. 4-year-old me was so amazed that I got a letter signed by Santa that I totally bought it. I bought it so much that the next year they did the same damn thing when I wouldn't shut up about wanting this robot: http://www.theoldrobots.com/maxx.html It worked then, too, but by the following year when they tried the same thing when I was demanding the gigantic GI Joe aircraft carrier I knew what the score was. Still didn't get that damn aircraft carrier, though. I had one of these bad boys: http://www.theoldrobots.com/omni2k.html
  5. This hit home for me when I had to explain to my son that I am too old to be on the Cubs. I also had to explain that David Ross looks a lot older than he is.
  6. I almost choked on a carrot while reading this.
  7. Top comment: Was this article in the publish queue for 15 years or something?
  8. Not surprised. Great start to the season so far.
  9. absolutely terrifying His eyes are following me!
  10. Great article on Trevor Bauer at Fangraphs. I guess UCLA does have a few smart people. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/trevor-bauer-towards-better-pitching-through-science/
  11. Huh, coulda sworn they had faced him before, but you are correct. Let's beat him so bad he wants to come back here. The Cubs can do better.
  12. The cackle booming across the land you suddenly heard is Boras having a hearty laugh. Dreams of 10 years $400 million in his head.
  13. No, it's time to sell high, of course.
  14. His douchebag friend at the bar did.
  15. Get rid of interleague and make the rest of the schedule more balanced.
  16. he looks like that kid from two and a half men when he was little Does he have teeth?
  17. And they'd only be 5 games behind the Cardinals this year.
  18. Yeah but Joc Pederson has better Defense than Bryant ;) Kris Bryant has better D ratings this year than Pederson does.
  19. http://i.giphy.com/DjwLgvzKofc1a.gif
  20. Seven weeks is a long time for shin splints.
  21. http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/7/71/854542/bears-wr-kevin-white-pushing-john-fox-return-practice What kind of "not a big deal" injury to your legs requires being shut down for seven weeks? I'm definitely concerned.
  22. Sure beats the days of Jackson having 15. We need the plus 1 button now.
  23. As for Jeffrey Baez, he may one day be known as the guy who forced 2 extra letters onto Javy's jersey. For the Iowa Cubs?
  24. You're a megathreader, you're on the list too, pal.
