  1. They don't want to show up the other fans by buying tickets in advance. BFIB.
  2. I live in Texas, so I will sell everything up to the World Series. I will make a trip back home for that. That makes sense. I passed on season tickets when my number came up, because no one in my family who still lives in Chicago wanted to go in with me.
  3. Buck Martinez was the best part of whatever baseball video game he was a part of. I've always wanted a Lobster Cola. I totally forgot about that. Which game was that?
  4. I don't understand how there are season ticket holders who don't want to go to playoff games. :-k
  5. Yeah, it was really fun getting to watch them go down in person last year. Only thing better would be to have the Cubs being the team taking them out.
  6. Now? Vin Scully can eat a bag of dicks. I know people love him, but I have a hard time listening to him. He never stops talking.
  7. You're going to be upset that you missed Jake's closeout perfect game.
  8. http://i.imgur.com/e8a5w9s.gif That's amazing.
  9. The best part about that video is you can see every single Cub fan in the RF bleachers stand up while the Pirates fans sort of slump down That's exactly what I did the second he hit it. So awesome.
  10. Looks like they have their own terrible version Doesn't everyone do that? I have them from the Giants.
  11. Oh [expletive], it's a silent countdown, they're all dead!
  12. I really don't want the season to be over. :flythew:
  13. My in-laws are going to be in town tonight, and my wife warned them not to try to console me if the Cubs lose.
  14. My stomach is churning. That bagel and lox for breakfast was a bad idea.
  15. I'm already getting the nervous feeling in my stomach. Please score early, Cubs.
  16. How much do you pay a babysitter when you're going to a wedding?
  17. Yeah, that's why I asked about the ads.
  18. We had awesome prime rib for my wedding. You could even get seconds if you wanted it.
  19. I don't use an ad blocker, so I have no idea. I don't want to go mucking about in the code to make this happen like I did with premium back in the day. I'd prefer to just encourage donations (and make it easy to give them) for people blocking ads. I guess what I'm feeling out here is if that seems fair to people. Apple's actions are really making this harder on smaller publishers/websites. I meant on your end. Many of the ads displayed are of a very low quality (I know you have nothing to do with them). Is there a way to control from the ad service?
  20. Is there any way to control which ads get displayed?
  21. Time for a Ric Flair gif thread.
  22. The Royals did the same thing last year. I think they do it to save for confusion when it comes to refunds for games not played. Or, they're all rich dudes who are investing the money and making interest off it while they hold it for us. I'm sure they are writing it off somehow also.
  23. What's the thought on Kessler? Where will he go? I'm a big fan of that efficiency.
  24. It would be a real shame to see him reinjure himself giving up the winning runs to the Cubs in the last game of the NLDS.
