WVU and the Big East settle. Big 12 schedules released today. KU football is totally effed.

Unless there's bad blood between Shaka and the AD at UI, I'd have to think that one is a no-brainer for UI. With the deteriorating state of the Big East, you have to think BW would be interested, too. Illinois is primed to make whoever takes over there look really good. The roster has a ton of talent, so they're ready to win now. And there's high school talent in abundance nearby. With the right coach, they could be a scary program.

On the plus side for KSU, with games against Baylor, Mizzou, and ISU still on the schedule, they have a chance to play themselves back into the conversation. On the negative side...nothing about the way they're playing gives you any reason to think they can win those games.

To be fair, they haven't lost a game to a team outside the Top 5 all year. Who have they beaten? Mississippi State is their only good win as far as I can see. SDSU, BYU, MSST are solid wins. WVU and ISU are decent wins.

I think we'll beat you pretty soundly in Lawrence, but I think we'll lose @OKST. So it could be a tie.

Perry jones is monster overrated right now. His raw stats look pretty good...14 ppg, 55 percent shooting, 7 rpg. I guess it just feels like he should be dominating every game. He's pillow soft and he's coached by one of the worst game coaches I've ever seen. I can't imagine why any top player would want to play for him. I know you hate Weber, but he could coach circles around Drew.

only a missouri fan could think that was a good call. the awful thing is, it wasn't even the worst call in the last 3 minutes. Robinson did a drop step spin that left some Missouri schmuck's underwear on the ground, and he gets whistled. Takes 2 points off the board, which would have probably put the game out of reach. Credit to Denmon for hitting the shots though.

ISU won the Big 12 twice. That's more than A&M and Mizzou combined.

Not a lot of star power for KU's class, but I'm pretty happy with it. A few JUCO AA, a bunch of DL and DBs. Weis said he still expects several more 5th year transfers in May. Hopefully he can bridge the gap from now until some of his real (and hopefully better) recruiting classes come in.

They've still got 4 games left against Baylor and K-State. They could wind up as high as 3rd in the conference if they can keep winning at home. Big 12 race should come down to the wire. The game in CoMo will be big.

He was a pretty good play-caller at KU. Our offenses put up big numbers when he was there. btw - I'm hearing weis is expecting other 5-years to join KU after May graduation. does that story have legs. There are 1-2 ND guys that are eligible for 5th years that Kelly won't take b/c they won't be on the 2-deep, including a solid nose tackle, that are rumored to be considering re-joining Weis. That's what he said in the press conference today. He said he was going to be signing other 5 year guys after May. He was pretty explicit about it. Benchwarmers from ND are still going to be better than whatever we have. I hope he snags them.

I have trouble believing the bolded section. I don't care how mad you are at the coach, you wouldn't give up everything you've worked for to prove a point.

We could easily lose any of @MU, @ISU, @KSU, and @BU. There's also good chance we'll drop a random game we shouldn't. Today was a big win though. ETA: nothing is more delicious than watching Scott Drew lose.
