  1. I support Bonds.
  2. The AP says Bowen and Blevins. http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2007/07/16/ap3919558.html And Ravech just said Marshall, again.
  3. Harry said the same thing in Holy Cow!.
  4. This thread has tainted my opinion of NSBB's collective taste.
  5. I revere the old days as much as anyone, but I can honestly say that I love the game more now than I ever did back then. It just keeps getting better.
  6. Pain worse than death? Like trying to endure your jokes?
  7. Rogers was on ESPN Radio this morning, and assumed that Cuban plans to simply throw money at the Trib until he gets his way. Tribune's obligation to raise the most cash would theoretically trump other factors. I'm more hopeful than I was yesterday.
  8. I'd be thrilled if I could summon the slightest hint of hope for Cuban's chances. As it stands, I don't think there's a chance in hell that Bud and Jerry will let it happen.
  9. A good game marred by Tony's silliness at the end. Albert has to get a chance in that situation.
  10. Nice to see the Mets in their correct unis for once.
  11. Interesting that neither Bonds nor A-Rod had to wear the ridiculous All-Star "uniforms."
  12. MLB needs to control field access. That guy from Vlad's entourage in the goofy shirt is getting way too much face time.
  13. Yes, let's come down on the most-viewed sports channel for talking about our game, instead of football, for once in a thinly veiled attempt to make the decision to move huge chunks of prime MLB programming to the Turner backwoods look like somewhat less of a massive clusterf***.
  14. Me too.
  15. I'm sad to see MLB teams dropping their clear channel flagships. Since childhood, I've loved being able to tour the leagues with nothing more than a decent radio and a clear night; now, the Braves are gone from 750 WSB, and the Cards left KMOX, with more to follow. I've picked up WGN as far south as Florida and as far west as central Texas. I've had even better results with 700 WLW out of Cincinnati.
  16. Glad I cut Hill after last week's crapfest.
  17. I fled a Cubs/Marlins game in the fifth at Pro Player back in 2002. We were getting our asses kicked, and I had a three hour drive ahead of me that night. It wound up as the last game I ever saw Don Baylor manage.
  18. The Reds sell $10 tickets in the upper deck, down the lines.
  19. Andy is considerably dumber than he ever appeared to be if he's even remotely considering hiring Baker. Hasn't he seen enough?
  20. The offseason? How about right now? We're conceivably an injury or two away from seeing Bo Hart in the lineup because Zell won't let us take on any significant salary.
  21. v including the sale The loss of Z The destruction of Wrigley Field Jimbo's continued employment Hamstrung '07, '08
  22. This is the first of many trainwrecks this organization will endure courtesy of Zell.
