  1. No it’s not. Please make many jokes and let’s have general jocularity about the event.
  2. http://boysofspring.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/ST18-happ-02-8x10-bif.jpg It rubs the lotion on the skin.
  3. How about the fact that Jake and Chris don’t play for the Brewers? It’s like me saying me saying Kate Upton is an upgrade from my wife.
  4. There’s almost a resentment in some corners of the media when contracts like this is made.
  5. I heard a report on MLB radio from an agent who said he received nearly identical offers from two different teams. Both the offers where substandard.
  6. I wonder if Darvish is going to end up taking a 1 year deal and try again next offseason.
  7. Where in the wild, wild, wild, world of sports did you find that stat?
  8. If the system allows them to do this, that’s collusion. What we don’t know is if the owners have given hard figures to the GMs or if the GMs have all just decided they’re not worth what they are asking. This inaction appears to be systemic. We won’t know unless there’s a law suit.
  9. It's not "siding." It's understanding someone else's position. No. It’s years of propaganda. All fans should side with the workers.
  10. Phillies and Mariners? The Phillies wouldn't shock me but they'd probably prefer to wait until next offseason. Still, this could be their Lester kind of move and it wouldn't be crazy. The Mariners we haven't heard much about which is a little surprising. Same with the Angels. They got Ohtani, but there's very little certainty anywhere in that rotation and for a team that has playoff hopes. And then there's the Dodgers potentially clearing a lot of money, but that likely takes selling a good prospect or two because Matt Kemp is worthless. On the surface, Andrew Friedman making all these moves -- and giving up good young talent -- just to sign a 31-year-old pitcher for $100 million+ seems unlikely. Does it matter? He’s not signing with any team.
  11. There is no way any team is giving him a 7-year deal. If that's the holdup, it may be well into the season before he signs. Who wants to pay a 39-year-old pitcher 25M/year? Can you imagine how far apart they must be if Theo is sticking with a 4-year deal and Darvish want's almost twice as long?
  12. Website- YouTube Second favorite band UB40
  13. They really did adopt him, didn’t they?
  14. Heaven forbid, I wouldn't want to anybody to think I didn't. I now know how our grandparents felt about FDR. I just mean I trust Theo to do whats in the best interest of the Club. It sounds like Theo gauged the market for Darvish pretty well so if they lose him to another team, it's cool.
  15. Dodgers, it’s his preferred destination. They won’t meet some minimum threashold he has. I trust Theo.
  16. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe has very nasty racial origins, too. It's since been sanitized.
  17. Mostly because they let a black guy golf with them.
  18. Apparently what LA can do is not plan financially for signing Darvish. It just seems like he would have went with the Dodgers by now if that were the case.
  19. it seems to me that if Theo cannot get Darvish to budge and he's not moving either, that he wouldn't have moved on already and went after Cobb or Jake.
  20. Don't write an article about it, please.
  21. I don’t get the feeling he wants to be a pitcher for any team for what they are offering.
  22. It’s a good thing. It would be a little weird to call a girl Javy Jr.
