If I were a betting person, I'd bet he never sees the MLB. What happened to him is not normal. I said when it happened it reminded me of Chad Fox and it is pretty much the same injury that ended his career, although Fox was 38.
I watched the LSU/Wake game yesterday. Skeens had velocity, but he throws a lot of hittable pitches. I don't know much about projectability or the other stuff that may make one pitcher higher regarded than another.
That is great and I'm happily eating my words about him. Does anyone know the pitch mix and frequency? It would be great if he's mixing in that third pitch (change up) and it's getting guys out.
