  1. batting a round = all 9 batters. a round = all =/= circle Give me a round of shots. Everyone, no one gets 2.
  2. The last year I played in a senior men's baseball league (age 31), I was on a team that was way above my talent level. Lots of guys who were former minor leaguers and a couple who made it all the way AAA. The guy who managed the team always made me bunt. I hated him. I know how Nick feels.
  3. Who are these guys? Adding on runs later in games? I love it.
  4. Seyia with a lot of warning track power in games.
  5. Lol, Madrigal finally hits the ball hard the Hyde has seen enough of his pitcher.
  6. Kyle isn't fooling anyone 2nd time through the order
  7. Is the wind blowing in or out? If it's blowing out, they better get someone up in the pen before the start of the game.
  8. Greenberg has an article up at The Athletic quoting Jed. He sounds more and more like Hendry every time he gets in front of a reporter. Also, it's awfully nice of the Cubs to allow Bellinger to audition his versatility to other teams before the trade deadline and new contracts next offseason.
  9. 7-5 now. It's a real rally, Dansby with his second hit of the inning.
  10. No fake rally tonight. Cubs up 6-5. Happer!
  11. Drew throws a hanging breaking ball middle-middle and Joe says it doesn't look any different than before, but guys are seeing it better tonight. Good God.
  12. Madrigal had a running start on that throw. Smyly unlucky with the run there. Still counts.
  13. He looks a lot more like I thought he would look than at the beginning of the season.
  14. To be a left handed pitcher who can throw strikes. Kay has been kicking around AAA/MLB since 2019. The Mets drafted him twice, the last time in the 1st round in 2016.
  15. Both the Diamondbacks and the Rangers should be the blueprint for the Cubs.
  16. "There's just a wealth of fringe-average MLB talent floating around the league right now." Sounds like you are describing the NL and AL Central Divisions.
  17. Yes, let’s talk about that. Spin and shape don’t mean horsefeathers if a guy can’t throw good strikes. Let teach them command first.
