    It's fun to acknowledge the serendipity of these wins, but it's good to be on the other side for a bit. They should beat the Steelers and the Browns. The other games are a toss-up at best. I'm going to enjoy the moment.

    That's been his pattern at every stop. They can't hold on to these guys forever without giving them a real opportunity at the major league level. If I'm choosing, I will take Alcantara over OWNKC.

    They need a TOR pitcher and they need SLG. They are a team of role players who play great defense, but they are not an offensive juggernaut. Who is? In life, everything is relative, but being the tallest person under five feet is not a particularly notable accomplishment. If the price is right, I'd love to bring Cease and Schwarber back home. Cease will benefit greatly from Hottovy, and Kyle brings an edge and can swat home runs. That's where I'm at.

    This is a winable game. I think Caleb looks best when the pressure is on (not necessarily during specific plays, but close games). It will be a close game. Bears by 3- 34-31.

    If I could bet on the SB right now, I'd bet the Rams. That offense is too much.

    That's not that much of a flex. The reason is he holds the ball too long and would rather take a sack or scramble a run. Interceptions are obviously bad, but numbers without context mean nothing.

    Pearl is trying to run for office here in Alabama. They love him. He might run for Tubberville’s seat

    My best guess is that the Cubs see this a no loss proposition but they think he’s going to decline

    That is true, but they don’t get paid until the season starts. And the owners rake in ST, especially the Ricketts. It’s a frequency game for them. They need dates to make money. They are in the hole for a good portion of the season. So any work stoppage that goes into the season is harder on the owners than the players. The owners are rotten fucks who are swimming in pools of cash they don’t want to share with the players. But they need games to be played in order for that to happen.

    The idea that the Ricketts want to win* due the cratering of the RSN and how much they’ve invested in the neighborhood is laughably absurd. They drive people in by the bus load every damn day they are playing. The Ricketts are evil, not stupid. They know they can’t spend like the Reds, but they care about filling Wriggle (the easy part) than about winning (the hard part). It’s also their philosophy on the sport, build the farm and replace. It just so happens that it’s the least expensive way of doing business and has no demonstrated success overtime.

    I'm ok with it. He's old and BP arms are volatile. I'm going to save all my thoughts until we see how things go across the league.

    With Shota, the main concern is he give up a lot of fly balls. He’d be great for Detroit or Seattle.
