Madlcok was my hero as 6 6-year-old old. In YMCA softball I demanded to play 3rd base and wore wristbands like him. I cried so hard when he got traded.

Cubs are starting to get crowded in the upper minors. Should be an interesting few years watching how things get sorted out. -
They had one who won two batting titles and PK Wrigley sent him off for the audacity of asking for a raise and maybe also because he was black.

It would be a huge mistake for Poles to gather picks every draft. At some point the picks are fungible, but not 1st round picks that high. Someone said, "Don't overthink this".

In yesterday's game, Lance Brozdowski mentioned that the gap between AAA and MLB is widening and large in pitching. Guys aren't staying down for extended periods when they have the goods. It stands to reason if that is true, there is little to be gained by keeping a hitter there either who has mastered AAA. That's not to say PCA or any of the other "kids" have mastered AAA. But the process has changed a lot in the last few years.

Maybe I’m being too optimistic (something I’m not known for), but I think we may be in opposite situation now. They have so many good prospects at almost every position. The depth is amazing. For example, the last time I saw Pablo Aliendo in person last April he looked like a skinny teenager. This spring he looks like he put 20 pounds of muscle on and looks like a legitimate big league catcher. He did a great job behind the plate yesterday stealing some strikes. im so impressed with their development team.

Aliendo is a breakout candidate. He’s put on a lot of muscle on him since I saw him at last April in Montgomery. He use to be a beanpole.

Wesneski with another rough outing but the Dodgers have a video game team. They might win 120 games this year.

Bad decision by Nico. Costs a run but th ball was blasted. Imanaga is going to have to keep the HRs in check.
