  1. Love the MLB app. I can listen to Pat and Ron
  2. How manny hits does Whit have this weekend?
  3. I haven't been to a game since 2016 (Ross's 100th HR game). I won't be going to any for the foreseeable future. I love the Cubs, but I don't have to support the Ricketts directly so I won't do that.
  4. Mo Baller is blowing up AAA. I think this is more evidence that the league is full of filler.
  5. He doesn't have the players to set the market. And he's strategy of waiting until he gets the value he wants has worked out reasonably well for the Cubs. Overall, he should be fired (he won't be), but he seems to do well in this part of the job.
  6. As it stands today, where does the class rank compared to 23 and 24? In the middle?
  7. Tom hired a like minded CBO. The Ricketts are not trying to trick anyone. Tom's comments (paraphrasing) "They should be able to win and stay under the luxury tax" is his hard line. If Jed cannot do it, Tom will hire another guy with the same general philosophy and tactics. Making money is goal #1, #2, and winning is goal #3.
  8. Honestly, I was underwhelmed with the prospects after the first 8
  9. I can see them trading Tallion and then next year looking for a starter all season. Because that’s the way it seems to work.
  10. This Cubs team is right up there with 2004 as one of the more frustrating I can remember. Many of the same issues too.
  11. Busch has turned into a fine fielder
  12. Nigtengale reporting. Nothing close, Tigers would have to be "overwhelmed". Oh to be a Dodgers fan.
  13. The Brewers haven't exactly been world-beaters lately. I wouldn't be surprised by a Cubs sweep. If I were betting, I'd bet a 2-1 series win for the Brewers.
  14. Someone please remind me, with the new processes in place in MiBL none of these players will see any time in pro ball this year?
  15. Assad needs to keep the ball down tonight. The Brewers ain't horsefeathers.
  16. Given how Jed operates, no one will be traded until he thinks he's getting good value. I expect they will make enough trades to get them under the luxury tax if they are not already under it and if anything else happens we will be pleasantly surprised by the return.
