kudos to the nhl for giving chris simon a 30 game suspension. first of all, he's a piece of crap. and in addition to that, the was not seriously hurt. I hate how suspensions seem to be tied to length of injury.

If the Cubs acquire Brian Roberts, Felix Pie hits .260, and the Cubs don't suffer any major injuries to their everyday players, I'll predict the unthinkable - we will eclipse 800 runs scored. Felix Pie at .260 will be a valuable player. unfortunately i think .260 will be his OBP

i know you referred to john harbaugh as "the wrong harbaugh," but he's a great secondary coach. i can't really speak to whether he is qualified for a more significant position like head coach or nfl defensive coordinator, but he's good at what he does right now. -
yeah pretty much. the cowboys definitely have a handful of scumbags on that team; makes it even easier to hate them.

point and laugh at all the morons on tv who were bashing the mitchell report for having all sorts of second-hand "irresponsible" accusations. if anyone was really slandered by this, they'd find plenty of teammates to say swear that they were clean, and they'd probably file some sort of slander lawsuit. but oh look, nobody has done it or will do it, because everyone in that report used steroids. sorry, but i'm not about to feel bad for people who at the very least did something completely unethical, and might have broken the law. you took steroids, now everyone knows it. deal with that. -

i forgot about the linebacker thing. losing freeney is a huge loss, because as the eagles showed, the only way you have a shot against the pats is if you pressure brady. their offensive line is amazing. the officiating in that game was (a)awful and (b)extremely one-sided. any neutral observer could see that. chances are the colts won't be so lucky if the teams meet again.

Yes, if the Beagles were to turn it over it would become a stupid one. we'd have to lose the ball while taking a knee. the other way, dallas gets the ball back and if they score, they can try an onside kick.

no, they can't beat the patriots because they're not as good as the patriots. those teams were not heavy favorites. san diego was favored by what, about 5 points against the pats last year? denver was also very good in 2005. and three years ago the pats were 14-2, and had won 2 of the past three super bowls, and were facing a rookie qb... i think they were actually favored over the steelers in the afc championship game. hey maybe i'm wrong and the pats will lose, but i don't think so. I doubt the Pats are big favorites over the Colts, if those teams meet in the AFCCG. If the line is big, bet on the Colts with the points. The Pats barely won the first meeting despite the Colts missing half their team. half their team? the only important players missing from that game were harrison and ugoh. if the officials hadn't been wearing colts jerseys during the game, the margin of victory would probably have been larger.

I'm sure they'll be in fine hands and give WVU a chance to see if an assistant can do the job. Congrats to Michigan in getting a heck of a coach. I hope WV is getting the 4 for the buyout unlike the time they settled for 1.5 and not 2.5 from the hoops coach leaving. Heh, completely forgot about the Beilein move to Michigan as well. WVU = Michigan Jr. I would think that UM = getting the call to "the show" so WVU = UM minor league affiliate. the minor league affiliate has been better than the big club the past few years
