  1. great piece of hitting... with his improved defense and patience, ARam really has become a complete player
  2. cool, my two hacking mass pitchers finally got knocked around tonight. keep it up, losers.
  3. ugh now brenly is saying we have two "highlight reel CF" range is the most important part of playing CF, or most positions for that matter. edmonds and johnson are good at catching batted balls that they can get to, but they're not good at getting there in the first place.
  4. plays like that are why people continue to think johnson and edmonds are good defensive CF. they're not.
  5. he's on pace for 40 homers and his OPS is over 1.000 such bull crap Two seasons ago, Geovany Soto had never posted an OPS better than .750 in the minors. We get our share, too. soto is a catcher who developed into a good hitter in his mid 20s. those come along a lot more frequently than guys who turn into miguel cabrera at age 30 after spending their 20s as AAAA hitters.
  6. good thing they have a second albert pujols in their lineup.

  8. maybe a japanese guy killed eddings' granddad in wwii or something
  9. now i really wish theriot had walked
  10. at least in 1995 you knew that a foot off the outside corner was going to be a strike. with this guy it seems to be 10 inches outside and 10 inches low are strikes. and it sets up the AB against theriot because he has to swing at bad pitches since the ump is calling them strikes.
  11. wow that strike 2 call was horrendous way to shake it off fuku
  12. lilly's pitch selection he's throwing fewer fastballs are more change ups this year... i didn't even know he had a slider.
  13. lol lilly is getting rocked by terrible hitters
  14. fortunately this is still the cardinals' roster That roster has produced a pretty darn fine record through almost half the season. except adam wainwright's been their best starter and he's not on that roster any more.
  15. fortunately this is still the cardinals' roster
  16. a very hittable minor league pitcher with a 1.40 minor league WHIP who will probably be an all-star with the cardinals wtg soriano
  17. hmmm mitchell boggs, looks like pretty much roster filler, so why shouldn't he be throwing a shutout for the cards?

  19. clevenger is 2-2 and is hitting about .500 in june.
