  1. most of the time i'd say no big deal, but sheets is top 5 in PAPs and he has a long injury history. bad neddy, bad.
  2. wait so saunders and santana are better than lackey? lawl.
  3. this thread is awfully ironic now that jose contreras left tonight's game with, yes, a ruptured achilles.
  4. hopefully the nats are still rolling over and playing dead when we play them.
  5. I hope you're not implying that he should get in simply because he pitched well in a dramatic postseason game. No, but I think he's implying that said game will hold far more weight with the people who get a vote than it should. he might deserve to be in anyway. top 10 in ERA+ 10 times, top 6 in whip 11 times, top 5 in strikeouts 8 times. plus that 10-2, 2.23 ERA in the playoffs (with 3 rings) doesn't hurt. he's more or less the definition of a borderline candidate. you may think that he will get extra credit for the bloody sock, but i think that some in the media will not vote for him simply because he's a loudmouth who says some controversial things.
  6. well at least he got the second-best hitter in baseball out.
  7. soto is seeing like 80% breaking balls these days.
  8. This just means he's due for the inevitable 3-homer game against us (one early, one late, one game-winning), probably in September. only if they let him start taking steroids again.
  9. hit the ball farther so that it goes over the outfield wall.
  10. p.s., the #5 hitters for the cubs and cardinals today were released earlier this year by the padres and nationals.
  11. ryan ludwick trails only rick ankiel in my "most hated baseball player" rankings.
  12. u.s. men's beach volleyball lost to friggin latvia :x
  13. haha, phelps broke the olympic record in his prelim heat of 400 im. damn he is awesome.
  14. troy glaus is 0-29 with 12 k's against the cubs this year
  15. the good news - i'm up to 53rd. the bad news - i'd be in 4th place if i'd stuck with my original pitchers ](*,)
  16. well, the cubs have employed dave littlefield and grady little.
  17. I don't think they do, I could be wrong though. If so, Hendry is the obvious choice in the NL and deserves it. it's just MLB - voted on by two execs from each organization in the game. last year mark shapiro won it; the year before it was terry ryan. don't look at who won in 2003 i'm gonna guess that it was brian sabean :x
  18. swimming starts in less than an hour :D
