  1. He's been sorta good in Philly. in 5 innings. i prefer to look at the 130 bad innings that he had in a cub uniform.
  2. probably doing the same thing that cotts is doing - blowing.
  3. let the ball go into your glove, then squeeze.
  4. i thought the stereotype was that asian people are smart.
  5. let's be honest, who's NOT a little gay for geovany soto?
  6. wait lindsay lohan is gay now?
  7. and depressing to know that if we go 2-3 in the first round of the playoffs, the season is over.
  8. i never really hated macias, neifi, lenny harris, etc... i hated dusty for letting them play so much.
  9. Santo K'd an average of 97 times a season and Aramis is at 92 a season. aramis gets screwed in this measurement because you're counting 1998, 1999 and 2000 as seasons even though he played a total of 165 games in the big leagues. a better measurement is K/AB: aramis K's in 15.2% of his PA, and santo K'ed in 16.5% of his AB. not a huge difference, but it's still about 10% difference. ronny did walk a lot more frequently, though.
  10. i also like how he says the cubs wanted ramirez to "pay attention on defense" - suggesting that he's made great strides this season on defense. he was one of the top 5 defensive 3b last year. rozner, you suck.
  11. and a team .347 BABIP
  12. hence the existence of stats like EqA, ERA+, OPS+, VORP, etc.
  13. wait, the best hitter has been geovany soto?
  14. i refuse to vote until rick ankiel and latroy hawkins are added.
  15. willie mays 10 years from now: Albert Pujols is that because willie mays is dead or pujols has passed him in greatness?
  16. you forgot to list "karl dorrell not coach any more" as a strength
  17. i tremble in fear at what the cubs would have to pay harden if he stays healthy for the next 14 months.
  18. if i was alive in the '40s, i'm pretty sure that ted williams would've been my idol, regardless of what team i rooted for.
  19. let's just ask fred hornkohl how it went down.
