i don't think alexander played long enough in a phillie uniform for me to put him on the list. i actually would go with espn's top 3, in the same order.
average NL catcher: .256/.329/.391 soto: .285/.368/.509 soto was 3rd in vorp coming into tonight... i'd say that mauer and mccann have been better, but that's it. pretty damn good for a guy who projected as a backup coming into last season.
