  1. they gained 800 yards!!!
  2. nobody cares about this game, but it caught my eye on yahoo - utep 28, tulsa 28 after the first quarter. the teams combined for 511 yards in the first quarter and utep also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
  3. Ron Zook: Still an awful coach. i wouldn't say it's his coaching, i would say that it's his players not giving a damn and walking around out there in a haze, there is a lot of talent on this defense. well that goes back to the coach. it's the same beef people had with him at florida, the performance of the team is well below the talent level of the individual players. i dunno whether he's a lousy motivator or lousy coach, but it does seem like there's something he's not doing right to get them ready.
  4. tossed up some huge bricks here... none of those games were even close.
  5. i don't think many people thought iowa was terrible, except for overly-cynical iowa fans. it's certainly no walkover for penn state, but they certainly have a larger hurdle to clear before heading out to iowa city. Penn State has 2 weeks to prepare for that game. I'm hoping that if they win in Columbus next week that they don't think they can sleep walk through their final 3 games i wouldn't worry so much about that. there are plenty of valid criticisms of joe paterno, but failing to have his team ready is not one of them. i can't think of many times when they crapped the bed against an average team because they were either looking ahead or on a hangover after a big win.
  6. first to double digits wins

  8. i didn't realize snead was white until i saw the florida game highlights. so i guess college gameday will be headed for columbus next week. there are some other very big games (georgia-lsu, okie st-texas) but they've done texas games for two straight weeks now, and the psu-o$u game is basically the big ten championship game. for penn state, it's their biggest threat to lose this year; if they win they've got a very good chance of playing for the championship. i can't wait. die buckeyes die.
  9. ah, this feels good.
  10. ucla is the taller midget, apparently.
  11. c'mon, one more td and we cover the spread
  12. ok i was surprised but i didn't crap myself.
  13. i don't know that i'd burn his redshirt. maybe they'll have to if threet is seriously hurt, but they've played half the season and they're very unlikely to make a bowl - the game in columbus is almost an auto-loss so if they lose tonight, they'd have to win at purdont, minnesota and win at home against moo and northwestern. it's just not worth it. Agreed. But then again, they have two four star recruits coming in next year that can run the spread. How much will they need him. true, i guess it depends on how much they value him over the guys coming in. personally i think they should put david cone in, just for comedic purposes.

  15. it'll be interesting to see what happens with them. the old msu (under john l. smith/bobby williams) would completely go in the tank at this point.
  16. yeah, you're not allowed to pass it to an offensive lineman.
  17. This is correct, UCLA only won 28-3. Their win was against Portland State (48-9). portland state must be really awful then. like girls' high school bad.
  18. imagine if ole miss won road games at florida and alabama? houston nutt could be elected governor.
  19. doinked in a fg, 4 point game now
  20. i honestly would crap myself if we recovered a michigan fumble
  21. well ole miss just pulled within 7 of bama, that game looked like a laugher but all of a sudden it's become very interesting.
  22. our defense is miserable whoever has the ball last /doesn't turn it over is going to win 850 total yards between the two teams, and that's with less than 5 minutes gone in the second half
  23. wazzu is one of the most fascinating teams in college football to me, mostly because i can't remember a bcs team being this bad. i mean, duke and baylor and vandy are usually bad, but this is another level of bad. they don't belong on the field with just about anyone they've played this year.
  24. doing everything wrong. all the wr had to do was lower his head and he had the first down there. royster loses his footing. it's the michigan train wreck all over again.
