    I think the officiating was poor in this game, but the better team clearly won. uh i don't think you understand how cyno rolls, when the teams he's rooting against wins, it's because of the officiating. let's also recognize that power play time was almost exactly equal and the blues had nearly 2 minutes of 5 on 3.

    no way. brad ausmus was the true pioneer among Hacking Mass catchers. reliable playing time and reliable horrendous offensive performance. 7 straight years of .682 OPS or worse, with more than 400 PAs each of those years. money in the bank.

    True, but never underestimate Dave Duncan's ability to shine a turd. Duncan couldn't do much with him last year. 34 IP, 7.41 ERA, 13/22 K/BB, 1.88 WHIP, 5 HR, .919 OPS against yeah his minor league numbers give no indication that he can be an adequate major league pitcher. 1.39 WHIP, 3.3 BB/9 IP, 7 K/9 IP, worse than a hit per inning. everything about him screams "mediocre arm."

    i'm wondering how badly we have to get embarrassed in this series for stevens to get fired. maybe if we don't score a goal, or give up 20 in 4 games? the stupid penalties definitely help. i'm just trying to figure out what i need to root for here.

    Well I mean it's the Pens... he's probably gotten used to it watching the "penalties" the Pens draw every game this season. he's been around for 3 years. he's awful. i don't even think most pens fans like him.

    unfortunately i'm saddled with the awful penguins announcers because CSN philly and versus are both blacked out. the play by play guy didn't say a thing about the obvious tackle on giroux and bitched about three potential "penalties" on the last power play to give the pens a 5-on-3. can't believe they demoted the great mike lange for this idiot.

    wow this officiating is brutal. we have worse players, an inept coach, no team discipline and are getting boned over by the refs. we might lose by 6.

    I feel sorry for Cueto, Volquez and crew. yeah lou makes some pretty bad in-game decisions but he is responsible with pitcher use and understands the value of patience, both of which are way more important than in-game managing.
