Jason Kendall had terrific speed when he was younger. He had many 20+ SB years. Pudge Rodriguez was really fast too. It has to be either Matt LeCroy or Ernie Lombardi. craig biggio was a catcher for a few years and he was really fast.

cubs gameday person going full troll; they just noted that ranaudo has as many wrigley field home runs as heyward this season.

the olympics have become really unwieldy with the number of sports that have been added, and the requirement that individual cities have to build world class facilities in a lot of sports that aren't even played in that city or country. IMO the olympic committee would be well served to move to more of a soccer world cup-style format, where a country or even partnership of countries host the games, rather than the entire financial and logistical burden falling on a single city. a lot of cities are starting to figure out that it's not worth the cost and hassle, which is why you end up terrible options like beijing and almaty, kazakhstan being the finalists to host a winter olympics. I really don't think Almaty is a terrible option, especially relative to Beijing. kazakhstan has nowhere near the infrastructure to host the event (they'd probably find a way, albeit with many of the problems that are currently happening in rio), and i'm not big on rewarding the games to repressive governments with lousy human rights records.
