  1. it is certainly rational to get angry at the manager who's leaving him in the game to issue walk after walk.
  2. http://img.pandawhale.com/112636-mark-wahlberg-confused-speechl-xFdS.gif
  3. This game wasn't extra innings and mediocre records in close games and extra innings aren't really predictive of much.
  4. 95 mph fastball from a lefty is pretty nice, but not so much when it's belt high in the middle of the plate against a bad hitter on an 0-2 count.
  5. apparently we traded for a second clayton richard.
  6. well, at least heyward gives some good at bats before striking out or grounding out.
  7. Punchless McGroundout versus a lefty reliever, time to hit the bathroom.
  8. when you have the likes of fatt albers pitching in the 9th inning of a close game, that sort of thing is going to happen.
  9. Did you miss the HR earlier? i did not miss it however i also did not add it.
  10. of all the possible outcomes for baez, i would not have predicted that he'd be hitting almost .300 with a K rate under 25%, but also only 9 home runs.
  11. especially if preceded by a foul ball into the white sox booth which hits hawk in the face.
  12. well that should be easy to do. Oh, I'm not thinking we can get one. guess it is time to be sellers at the deadline then.
  13. i am already prepared for the trade to not be a thing.
  14. he can also be employed in the 7th or 8th innings if there are tougher lefty batters coming up. in his career lefties have hit .123 off him, with an OPS below .400. he's allowed one home run to a lefthanded batter in his major league career.
  15. it would be pretty funny if the yankees got just about the best case scenario (trade for a top 50 prospect at a position of need) but then hank steinbrenner vetoed the deal because he wants the yankees to make some implausible run at the wild card.
  16. Chapman is not eligible for a qualifying offer if traded in-season. oops, forgot about that rule change. my bad.
  17. if he were to leave the cubs would get a pick around #30 overall, which definitely should be counted as value.
  18. does this change your opinion? [tweet]https://twitter.com/mike_mayers28/status/638112629773463552[/tweet] http://i.imgur.com/bfg7FL1.jpg
  19. how could you forget clayton richard?!?
  20. i wouldn't be upset about trading warren. i'd just be annoyed that he was a reasonably good player for two years with the yankees and then inexplicably turned into a complete turd with the cubs. although i guess the yankees would also have hoped that starlin would actually be a decent baseball player too.
