  1. At some point I feel like the whole RISP thing should start to even out, but we are almost halfway thru the season and have just been consistently pathetic the whole way.
  2. i'm all in on eloy as a prospect. the improving patience has done it for me.
  3. lester hit that ball harder than almost everybody who got hits in that stupid 4-run inning.
  4. look I hate the cardinals too, but let's leave them out of this.
  5. i'm 39 years old, but at this point i'm not totally sure if addison russell isn't my dad.
  6. oh well, good attempt at a comeback. screw off, donkey teeth.
  7. that was schwarber's first hit that wasn't a home run since may 17th?!?
  8. i hate john gant just because his name is so close to the main character from that stupid ayn rand book.
  9. the cardinals challenged their own catch, the call was overturned, then they gave up a grand slam later in the inning. http://www.bleachernation.com/baseballisfun/2017/06/06/the-cardinals-got-their-own-catch-overturned-on-replay-and-then-gave-up-a-grand-slam/
  10. so, scratch the anchorman-themed trips from now on.
  11. jeff nelson giveth (called strike) and jeff nelson taketh away (stupid basepath call against heyward)
  12. whelp at least john lackey still brings good looks and a charming personality to the table.
  13. austin bibens-dirkx is making his major league debut for the rangers tonight. he was drafted in 2006, bounced around 6 organizations (including the cubs), had two stints in indy ball (2009 and 2016), pitched in the venezuela winter league 5 times and the dominican winter league once. that is a long road but hey, he made it.
  14. literally nothing in this sentence is accurate.
  15. Almost as good as having the #3 pick from the Nets, then their #1 pick, then their pick again the next year, then a pick apiece from Memphis and the Clippers down the road, and you just finished 1st in the East. i'm convinced that one of the best ways to build a champ in the nba is to just take advantage of dumb and desperate teams who bought their way into salary cap hell.
  16. well it's annoying that boston got the #1 pick, but the sixers pick #3 and have their own first round pick plus the lakers first round pick (unprotected) in 2018, and their own first round pick plus the kings' first rounder (also unprotected) in 2019. that's about as good a shot as you'll get to become one of the 3-4 teams that has a chance to win in the stupid nba in any given year.
